The property is located in a little isolated location. Approximately 15-20 min car drive from city centre The property is really well maintained. We stayed is rosewood cottage. It was quite spacious and well suited for 2-3 occupants.
The best part was the hospitality of the staffs. Especially would like to thank chitra, bhavya and the team for making our stay so pleasant.

I have visited Coorg around 5 times and stayed in various properties over time. But my stay this time during June 2023 has been the best with Gavadana Coorg. They have the best location with the best of best views with a very affordable price range. The food at their restaurant is very phenomenal and one should definitely visit their restaurant when in Coorg. Will definitely recommend friends and family to choose only Gavadana when in Coorg.

I stayed with my family here during the long weekend of Ugadi and initially we were skeptical as this was the first time were going on vacation with my 1 year old daughter to a destination in South India. However, from very first day since we landed there till the last moment that we checked out from there the support Mr. Sadan and his team Chef (could not recollect his name but he made awesome tasty food), Majunatha and Bhavya and there were few more...(apologies if I am not able to remember their names) was quite recommendable. I must admit they went beyond their duties to ensure we had a pleasant stay at the resort. Though the property is pretty new and there are few more things that such as SPA, pool and outdoor games that are upcoming, the service provided by the staff made you feel very homely.
The breakfast was mix of both South Indian and North Indian and was customizable based on your needs as well. The resort nestled within the lap of nature where it was very calm, serene and infact you could hear chirping of birds early morning.
The next good thing was rooms were very neat and tidy and resort as such was very well maintained.
Overall, this property stands outstanding in all aspects . I would highly recommend to travelers if they want to stay in Coorg.

Our misery started on Fri 15th Apr, a beautiful evening with a cool breeze and we finally landed at Coorg Gavadana.
Misery 1 (Arrival): We were excited as our 4 family kids were looking for getting together after a long, however, the excitement didn't last long as after arrival we got to know that rooms are not ready. Imagine 4:30 PM and rooms not ready.
Misery 2 (Dinner): On both 2 nights of our stay we faced the severe issue with food availability. Lack of staff and lack of experience, no plans. They take the order and the real panic game starts, staff neither know how to meet the expectations nor have a plan to handle the resident's food request on their property. The food served was soggy, smelly and tasted less...after a lot of confrontation, they accepted the incapability of preparing the menu items and told us that they are only good at preparing dal, roti, and parantha. Ideally, staff should be truthful and must share the info as-is instead of experimenting.
Misery 3: Housekeeping: They lacked in this service as well even though housekeeping is an essential service for any hospitality industry but due to lack of staff they have no clue on how to handle and manage the requests. After our check-in, for the next 2 days no cleaning was done, no water bottle replacement, no towel replacement. service was zero. If asked they try to meet it asap but the challenges were visible in everything, and all the time.
Misery 4: Mr Karthik, I must admit he is humble, helpful and approachable but the art of first saying yes and later saying I didn't say is need to be learnt from him. I can understand his pressure and also all the time I empathise with him. But I am a customer, and I paid premium (room rent equivalent to 5-star hotels) and in return, I was given a room but with no service at all, that's not how the service industry works.
Suggestions: 1. Start saying No if you cannot. 2. Hire more professionals with experience, especially in the kitchen and front desk 3. Be more cautious about the kid's needs, they cannot wait for dinner until 11 PM.
I appreciate the help and patience demonstrated by Ms Anitha.
BTW, I saw all the guests fighting for food, cleanliness and staff support.

This hotel is an average hotel which has good food and the quality of food I tried was very good. The hotel room is very average and is a bit congested with a queen sized bed good for 2 people. The chairs are only two and two outside in the balcony as well. The bathroom has a light triggering smell a smart TV infront of the bed to watch. Overall the place isn't so bad but since there is all-out of greenery the place has many insects which do trouble. This gets a rating of 3 out of 5 only because of a decent room ans good food. Comes under budget.

Room is neat and clean, location is pleasant, restaurant food tastes good. Room heater didn't work properly initially and after many request to the service people, it worked properly. Recommended home stay to the people visiting Coorg.

The place is embraced by beautiful green surroundings, offering stunning views. The hotel rooms are incredibly comfortable and clean. I absolutely relished the appetizing food we were served, especially the ghee roasted chicken and manchow soup. Huge shoutout to the talented chef! The staff's warmth and helpfulness really stood out to me. This place exceeded all my expectations!

The resort is excellent it's so silent and peaceful. One of the best places to stay at Coorg and Ambience was great and extremely well-displayed hospitality. They serve excellent breakfast buffets and dinner options with friendly staff. They took care of us well and were so sweet and supportive. They went out of their way to help us. The rooms were very big and clean. The resort premises was also clean and well-maintained. Overall the place was amazing! Will surely recommend staying If anyone is looking for a day or long stay, here! We are so happy and satisfied.
