What a fantastic experience we had at the Tesoro Ixtapa for our 42nd anniversary! From the moment we arrived until the evening we departed, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The staff were super friendly, courteous, always happy and were there to attend to me during and...More
Four of us took a last minute trip to Ixtapa Mexico staying at the Tesoro Resort June 7-14th. The setting was beautiful. We were told it was a solid 3.5 star resort, we believe it to be more like a 2.0-2.5 for out of country...More
After reading other reviews I thought we were pretty safe to stay at the Tesoro. WRONG!
My friend and I booked an all-inclusive from May 17-24 run by Air Canada Vacations. When we arrived, all seemed to go well, until we got to our room......More

Hi. I looked on a map and it looks really close to the Tesoro. Half a block or so. There's an Oxxo ( like a 7-Eleven ) close by also. If it is affiliated with the Tesoro they'll treat you well. Security is a bit uptight, but every one else is wonderful. If you go for breakfast talk to Hugo or Guadalupe at the front of the restaurant. And if you have any questions about the area talk to the guys at the concierge desk. Jose, Ginner, and Miguel can answer almost everything.
Hope this helps a bit. Have fun! I wish I was going back.
