Spending a single night in Delhi between flights, I opted to stay near the airport. The hotel is walking distance from the Aerocity metro station, and very easy to locate. While Mahipalpur is generally an area for budget accommodation, Shanti Palace is one of the fancier hotels.
My room looked nice, featured all the amenities a traveler expects, and everything worked fine. Even though the hotel is well maintained, the room looked a little worn & dated. Disappointingly, the hotel WiFi signal was weak. If the budget hotel I previously stayed at could provide WiFi fast enough to stream Netflix, a more upscale hotel definitely should do better. Overall, I feel other hotels in the area may provide better value.

Ask for a quiet room, away from the street, then you will have a good night's sleep. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The corridors needed a good clean and change of carpets, which were stained and grubby. Breakfast was good. The area is safe, but very dirty, with rubbish in the streets, broken pavements, beggars and rats. Don't bother asking reception to book an airport transfer for you. There are taxis and ubers right outside the hotel, and 1/4 to 1/3 the price that the hotel wants to charge you.

I stayed at Hotel Shanti Palace at the end of Jan 2020 for two night. The hotel is located 20 minutes from the airport and about 5 minutes away from Aerocity which is really convenient. It’s on a really busy road so unless you use the hotels tax, UBER or an tuck tuck it’s virtually impossible to get a cab/taxi.
The rooms were clean and had all the facilities you would expect of a standard 3 star hotel. We had breakfast included and there were enough options. The staff were helpful. If anything the rooms need updating as it’s looks dated but all in all good option for a short stay if you just need somewhere to get clean and sleep whilst sightseeing all day.

Hotel Shanti Palace not only is a very old building but also delivers a very poor service. Breakfast is very limited and staff's service is very restrict and poor as well. But the worst is the internet connection! If you need a fast wifi (for working, for example), Shanti Palace is your worst choice! Overall the hotel is very poor: building conditions (too old), service, breakfast, staff, everything is about average to poor! I will never stay there again and I don't recommend this hotel.

This was the best transit experience at Delhi - Generally Delhi is scaring and you have all chances of being cheated.
But this time - I called the Hotel for Pick up before arriving and they confirmed. Car was at Airport to pick up. Only issue the Driver did not have my number. The Hotel immediately helped by giving me his number.
Check in was quick and rooms were allotted fast. We were asked time for morning alarm and time for car to drop at the airport.
Rooms were decent and with all amenities required for overnight stay including a razor, tooth brush and all.
Food ordered was delivered promptly.
Lobby was quiet and we could sleep well.
Wake up call did come from Reception and in addition there was automated call too.
Check out was fast and airport drop was arranged.
Overall great place and great service.

Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Good business hotel at prime location for business travellers and for someone who need to catch flight during off hrs. Hotel needs some renovation especially they need to re-do their guest room washrooms as look & feel of this hotel is not at par for the kinds of rates hotel is charging. Scope of improvement is there for their Buffet breakfast. Also they need to have better solution for Wi-Fi. Tripti Bar & Restaurant of this hotel is one of the Good restaurants among the others around / near vicinity. Rooms have dummy windows. They have pasted a scenery on dummy window .. Room rent is little exorbitant for a room with no window / no view.

The hotel is very conveniently located in aero city, just 1.4 km Away from the airport. Rate is ok and stuffs are helpful. Worst place to stay and expensive. They don't tell you the exact checkout time nor will they notify you that they will charge extra money and the staff is also rude. I had checked in at 12am and I wasn't told that their timings are from 12pm to 12pm next day. They charged around 5k for 12hrs and another 3k for another 6 hours. Also the restaurant is expensive. Overall worst experience ever.

Clean hotel. Requires a taxi from New Delhi airport (Terminal 3) - about £3 - 3.5 with some taxi services (don't use the more expensive ones near the Terminal). Room very comfortable with shiny marble floor & nice bathroom. Reasonable breakfast with omelette cooked to order.

My husband and I told them we were married. the two friends with us were not together and they gave them a room with two single beds. They did not ask..we did book a family room though...they gave us adjoining rooms. Amazing showers!
