We stayed in a cottage nearby and had lunch here twice during our week in Cornwall. Excellent food and service and a good base for a local walk, or a lunchtime stop on a longer coastal trek. Dog friendly in the bar. Definitely recommended.

Beautifully fresh mackerel with rhubarb which we shared, and regretted that we should have had one each! The chowder was superb, again delicious, everything was seasoned to perfection, my other half had the beef stew which he also thoroughly enjoyed, sadly no room for pud!

Had a fantastic three days in January with our two dogs on their winter break offer. Food was delicious, staff friendly and accommodating and the whole atmosphere relaxed and comfortable. Can't recommend this highly enough.

So good to hear you had a rewarding stay with us in January. Can be a lovely time of year down there if the sun shines but if the weather is rubbish I'm not sure there are many better places to retreat to than the GH. Thanks so much.

Took advantage of a Sunday winter offer, £200 for Sunday lunch, evening meal and board overnight, followed by a good Cornish breakfast! The food is excellent, bistro quality but gastro pub amounts. We had fresh soup, pork terrine and beef Sunday roast, a long walk along a blustery Cornish coastline before we could barely eat another stunning evening meal! Excellent...

This an ideal location for walking the coastal path or visiting local attractions. But the beauty lies in the people, the atmosphere and the superb food. The room we stayed in was quite small but thoughtfully laid out.Not only the food, but there is a good and diverse wine list and the log fire was on all day. This is part of a group of...

We spent three days at this wonderful Inn. The welcome was very friendly, our rooms comfortable but the outstanding aspect of the Inn was its excellent food. We were impressed by the quality of the local ingredients used from the home baked bread and preserves served at breakfast to the fish and meat dishes offered for our delight at dinner....

We had been recommended this pub and it didn't disappoint. Wonderful food- freshest fish I have eaten and sticky toffee pudding to die for! More expensive than we would normally pay but worth it for a great experience. Staff friendly and warm log fire on a very cold day.

Thanks so much for your kind words: so pleased you had a good time with us. We do try to keep things as good value as possible, particularly through our dinner inclusive deals for staying and our fixed price menus at both supper and lunch. We hope to see you again some time.

The Gurnards Head is a wonderful pub with rooms. We have just returned from a Sunday sleep over deal which included lunch, dinner, rooom and cooked breakfast. The only extras being drinks. The key feature of this pub is the quality of its food and service. A must.
