You can explore the cove itself or have access to Cornwall's legendary coastal path. The Local Pub, the famous Lamorna Wink, is a 2 minute walk though our private garden. They serve good food by a local chef and have a good selection of local Cornish ales. Whatever you choose to do, The Cove is the perfect base in which to enjoy the best that the far west of Cornwall has to offer.

We were really apprehensive about what to expect after reading the negative reviews but luckily the place was fantastic! Jack on reception waited for us to arrive and was super helpful as it was our first trip to the area. A really lovely touch was a cream tea and Cornish shortbread waiting in our apartment. We had a fantastic view over the pool and to The Cove. The Cove is gorgeous and only a 5 minute walk. From here you can access the coastal path to Mousehole, which is only a few miles away but quite a challenging route. The apartment was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and everything you need for self catering. eg. Dishwasher, washing machine, washing up liquid, hand soap, shower gel etc. The nearby pub was shut but we didn’t mind as we had stocked up with stuff from Tesco’s in Penzance. We will definitely be coming back!…

We were a bit dubious about booking, especially after reading the reviews. I can honestly say that we had a fantastic stay from start to finish. The room was clean,tidy and extremely well equipped, great view of the pool and cove from the window. Big thanks to Jack for all of your help, nice touch with the biscuits,tea bags and milk. we also appreciated the dishwasher tablets,washing up liquid,had soap and sanitiser. I would have no hesitation in recommending staying here, we will certainly be back. Make sure you have good knees if you decide to walk the dramatic and amazing coastal path to Mousehole, well worth the taxi fare back !

My friend and I rang The Cove - as we'd seen their sign as we drove out of Lamorna - to ask if they could recommend any accommodation... and we discovered that they had apartments to rent - AND they accepted dogs! Wonderful news! Such a relief - as we wanted to stay in Lamorna. The apartment was fine, could hear running water and the sea from the windows. Kitchen offered us all we needed. Bed clean and comfortable. AND a bath! Oh how I had longed for a bath! Comfy sofa in the living room. All you could need. Easy to walk to the cove/beach area from The Cove. Beautiful outside swimming pool and sitting outside area with amazing views, although we arrived on the day the season ended and the pool was no longer heated. I asked about a massage - and could have had one from the lady who visits, but just didn't have time. Thank you to Jack especially and Johney who work at The Cove - and their colleagues - for being friendly and helpful. A great place to stay. Price was okay for us also. Would go back again.…

We had a 3 night break from 22nd September, we are a small family with a 2 year old daughter. Check-In was perfect - we arrived early but the very friendly chap on reception let us into our room early which was very helpful and gave us some tips on the local area to get us started. Nice little walk down to Lamorna Cove but the Pub was closed whilst we stayed so we didn’t get a chance to try that. A central location to Lands End and Penzance but you definitely want to take any groceries with you because it’s quite an awful drive around Newlyn. I was pleased with the standard of the room, it was clean and fresh. It would have been nice to have some milk in the fridge for arrival as a little touch. We’d driven over 4 hours so would’ve been nice to unwind without having to go out but that’s just me. The kitchen is everything you need whilst being away with a microwave, dishwasher, kettle and oven with all the necessities provided for you along with all other essentials such as an iron, hairdryer and any extra pillows and covers you like. My only reason for the 4 star review is because in my opinion, it’s a lovely place to stay but not 4 star luxury accommodation. Definitely a really good 3 star but with the basics of milk or appropriate hand wash (It was sanitiser not handwash) not being provided I couldn’t give a 5. Thank you for a lovely stay though...!…

We stayed for the weekend and totally loved this place. The guy that checked us in was friendly and we found the room perfect for us. We have stayed in hotels all around the world and were as happy here as anywhere after reading a couple of negative reviews I wondered what we were walking into but me personally I found it very clean and saw the staff cleaning both days. I would recommend The Cove to friends and we will be staying again in the future. Lamorna is a beautiful peaceful location and The hotel offers a great place to relax and get away from it all. Mobile phone reception is minimal at best which adds to the peace and tranquility of the area. Thank you we will be back.
