A calm and peaceful stay at this beautiful backwater resort. You can view the sunrise at the backwaters from the resort. The rooms are neat and well maintained. Loved the food. The breakfast spread is not that elaborate but the taste is good. The resort has ample parking space if you are planning to take your own vehicle. The resort offers ayurvedic spa services. We tried it and it's really good. Overall a great stay and would definitely like to repeat it.

Beautiful lakeside location, staff working there is brilliant. Busy resort and the breakfast was nice. Our group consisted of 11 adults and 4 kids and the team ensured that we had a very comfortable stay. Great room service and quick response for any maintenance issues or any queries. Overall nice and budget friendly resort.

At the outset, many thanks to the Deshadan resorts team for making our stay enjoyable. Kudos to the entire team for the timely assistance especially I would like to give a special mention to room service who has been really helpful in providing us the necessary guidance, support whenever required. Appreciate their enthusiasm and dedication in serving towards a better Customer experience. For a family , Deshadan backwater resort offers comfortable stay with decent food and a great ambience.

If you want to truly experience a run down backwater resort this is it. The cleanliness in the rooms to the restaurant was thoroughly lacking. Very poor facilities in the rooms and the restaurant sited over a pool of stagnant water is just a flavour of what to expect.

Oh, where do I even begin with my exhilarating experience at Deshadan Backwater Resort? Let's start with the awe-inspiring ambiance, shall we? Picture this: stepping into the room felt like diving into a landfill. The aroma of musty rooms combined with the fragrance of neglected laundry truly made me feel at home... if home was a dumpster. And oh, the décor! straight from the 1980's, The cracked walls and stained ceilings were truly avant-garde, in a "we gave up on maintenance" kind of way. Let's talk about cleanliness. Or should I say, the lack thereof? If you're a fan of mysterious stains on your sheets, Cobwebs and critter companions scuttling across the floor, then congratulations. In conclusion, if you enjoy wallowing in despair and reveling in the decay of human civilization, Deshadan Backwater Resort is the perfect destination for you. Just don't forget your hazmat suit and a healthy dose of self-loathing. Cheers!

Horrible experience. I would rate it with zero star if it was possible. Checked out without staying after staying at the place for an hour. Common pool and plunge pool dysfunctional with weed and dirt (photos attached). Rude staff. Random dead insects and unknown dirt was floating in the plunge pool (photos attached )Property manager hung up while sorting out issues and didn’t care. Air condition practically not working. The property manager literally disappeared after we made the complaints. In addition they had laborers camp adjoining our cottage (photos attached). Please keep away if you have any self esteem. Better way to spend your money is to throw it down their plunge pool or even better would be to throw into the adjoining vembanadu lake. Classical case of looting in the name of what they call it a “resort”. Ramps up google ratings with fake reviews

Nice stay .Property is on the backwaters. One hour boating available on payment. There is a good pool but there were no Towels readily available. Rooms were clean with fresh linen . Wardrobe in the room needs polishing or a change. The breakfast was nice .No live counters but were provided from inside on request. We had a la carte lunch and dinner which was also good. The staff in the restaurant were efficient and helpful ,however a smile will go the extra mile

We were here for a night after a day houseboat experience. Room is basic but with a great plunge-pool overlooking the back waters . Also a lovely swimming pool looking over the same vista - fishing nets , boats , birds , backwaters . Gorgeous spot to watch sunrise and we also enjoyed riding their bikes in the quiet surrounding roads .They were sweet in delivering us a fruit basket and biscuits however the restaurant is limited in terms of western cuisine . There was nothing much we could have for breakfast if we didn’t want full on Indian cuisine .But very glad we chose to stay here rather than overnight on the houseboat .

A nice little resort away from the bustle of the city, with a great view of the sunrise over the lake. The service by the hotel staff was absolutely *fantastic* and special thanks to Mr. Biby Thomas. He treats all the guests like family, taking care of all our needs and suggested all the good dishes - the clam fry was a treat ! Looking forward to the fishing trip we missed, in the next visit...

We had an awesome stay in Deshadan Backwater Resort - The best resort in Alleppey . Location is just opposite to Pathiramanal island and had a beautiful sun rise view from the resort . Room was clean and well maintained. They offered us free Wifi during our stay .Food was sumptuous. Good staff . Worth for money. Manager Mr Santhosh was very helpful and easily handled to arrange a cab for us even in the mid night. We are interested to visit again in the next vacation .
