We booked the houseboat for a night. Our stay on the boat, eventful it was ..... but nice and comfortable. The boat however could do with a little maintenance which i feel could have made for a much better stay and experience. Overall the amenities were comfortable, the food provided was good and the staff although helpful and trying their best, seemed to have low morale which came across very apparent to us as the guest. The duty manager did his best to right a wrong situation and make corrective efforts, but again had the boat been better cared for, there would overall be more pride i feel, in being a part of this beautiful amenity that is a part of the hotel. On a positive note, the boat is a beautiful boat and the food we were served was absolutely delicious. For dinner we enjoyed the fried ice cream ...... which was so yummy...... although we left on a sugar high, we left wanting more :-) None the less ....overall we had a good experience at the hotel which could have been great :-)…

Beautifully colonial architecture greets you like a shimmering mirage from the past. A moment in time transported to the British empire. This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms - if you have air conditioning - are a piece of heaven transported to earth like a dream. Our room led directly to the pool. The view to the lake at sunrise was perfect. But - it is a little remote. A long way out. And while we were there in the restaurant the ac was not working which made it unbearable. So we resorted to ordering food to our room. Which Was to die for. I congratulate the chef. Such glorious tastes whetted the appetitive of the soul. I dreamed of England but yearned to stay in India a little longer.

If you're looking for a perfect romantic getaway, then this is the place to be at. The property is beautiful, the location is great. You literally stay on a lake. The staff is super courteous and polite. We went to the place to celebrate our first anniversary, and the people there made sure we were made to feel special. Special mention to hotel manager Abhilash, restaurant manager Linu, and one of the front desk staff members Renjith. No request was too big for them. The property is more like a heritage resort, but as I was told it is going to go under a massive renovation in April, making it even better.

My parents stayed here for a day in Feb , it was a great property and the pool.view room are amazing to have a nice relaxing time The room are cosy and the service is prompt too The boat ride offered by hotel is a must try on your visit for a activity My only negative part was the buffet spread for dinner wasn't great on 7feb compared to the standard of lemon tree however the breakfast was upto the mark

The best thing about this property is its location, although it is a bit far from the main tourist point like houseboat jetty etc. which is about a Rs.400 auto ride away. The hotel's infinity pool beside the lake is its best feature, after its lake facing rooms which offer priceless views of the sunrise. Apart from this, everything else is pretty much average. The bathroom, was a big letdown with stained mirrors and empty toiletries. This could not be overlooked especially given the pricing of the hotel. The dinner buffet was another disappointment, with limited options, and some stale items(boiled potato chat). The breakfast spread was relatively better. In conclusion, the property is good for a short stay but there is ample opportunity for improvement in terms of service.
