I have stayed at a few different budget accommodations in Puebla (and also viewed at least another 10). This one is by far the best for the price. I had checked with a hostel but there was no space available, so I checked into the San Miguel hotel becaus I was tired and hungry. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the room, especially the sheets and pillowcases. I went to the hostel the next night, and could not wait to leave the next day to check...

I stayed at the San Miguel Hotel for 4 nights. I thought that it was a good room for a good price. The restaurant was good and even brought my order to my room. It is close to the Zócalo and to other parts of Centro. Look forward to going back to Puebla and will choose to stay at the...

I did not like this hotel because of: most of the rooms has no windows to street or to courtyard but to skylight only. The room was quite dark in spite of the fact that we stayed on the top floor. There were starange noises from the skylight (something like starting an engine). The furniture comes from early 70-ies. Water...

While not entirely bad, this hotel is a long way from being decent. It's mentioned in the Lonely Planet as having clean, decent sized rooms. What it doesn't mention is that the whole place is pretty tatty and run down, the lifts are old and unreliable and the windows in the rooms are all inward facing to a small chute...
