We stayed in room #8 for one night, the cost was $100 tax in. The hotel was built in 1929, but both the main floor bar area and the hotel area have been completely renovated. The hallway and our room were super clean. Our room was very large with two comfortable double beds, kitchen sink, microwave, fridge, flat screen tv...

We viewed room #1 earlier in the summer and it looked adequate. However, at check-in, we were given room #4 with one small double bed and a small (?26") TV with snowy cable reception. Rooms are not air conditioned and there are no screens on the windows; though with all the street noise (primarily motorcycles and 18-wheelers), earplugs are needed...

We like to stop at the hotel for something to eat and a drink. Find the food is good and the atmosphere is great. Washrooms are clean and so is the bar. Would recommend it to others if they are looking for a good experience in Black Diamond.

Watched horse racing and the stampede. The off-track betting looked neat. VLTs too. Nice staff in a newly renovated pub and restaurant. Kids are welcome. Conveniently located too. Comfy chairs. Cold beer. Clean washrooms. Definitely recommend this pub.

This is where the locals go to have a beer. A large bar in an even larger room with sports TVs and food service. I don't know if there are rooms but I assume there are. We just had a couple pitchers of beer....it is clean and polished and old western paintings attached to the ceilings. Black Diamond is a...

Food is pretty good but the service is really spotty depending on the server. One in particular just stands at the bar most of the time. You have to wave at her to get her attention. She does not come over and check on your food or a beverage refill. Brutal. The drink prices rival Calgary pricing, which I find...

This is THE pub to go to for cleanliness, relatively good service (if you get the right waitress) and the probably the best pub food in southern Alberta. I am a frequent diner at the Black Diamond Hotel ... most likely once a week. I like how you can see into the kitchen, which is kept very clean. The ladies...

The place is ok to eat but don't expect top shelf quality food. The plates are richly filled however the salad has some old leaves stuck under the pile of nice green leaves. The atmosphere is good and there's lots of space in the restaurant. You're not crammed together here for sure! Would I go back? Sure, if I need...

I go here a fair bit, some of the servers are great, some are downright useless/rude. The place should be busier than it is as the building is lovely but it appears the owners don't want to fill the place up. There is a stage that is completely under utilised. The drinks are a little expensive compared to similar places...

I stop there pretty much every week while riding my motorcycle for wings. They have just the perfect amount of heat and are really tasty. They also have a good beer selection on tap. The place is mostly a saloon and sometimes you may feel like you don't quite belong there but, I guess that's what a saloon is..
