Very nice well kept, clean hotel. Watch out for the hotel trying to make an extra dollar. The pool area is one of the best I've seen. You can go on the beach but you can not swim. Only about 20 minutes from Cabo. A few places to shop and eat very close. Beds are good.

This is a wonderful place to stay in San Jose del Cabo. Great views from every room, wonderful service, delicious food, what more could you ask for. The Grand Mayan is a private residential resort with beautiful appointed rooms. The grounds are amazing with sculptures in all the right areas.

This place is wonderful. The building is well cared for and the staff are excellent. The drinks are a bit pricey--over $10 US. Pool Bar staff are all excellent and go beyond the norm. Stay away from the free timeshare breakfast which takes you to big time sales pressure. Yes, the main pool is cool and not heated, but in...

My husband and I are staying at a nearby resort. We enjoy walking around and checking out other resorts to have lunch or dinner. When we entered the Grand Mayan, a guard stopped us and asked us if we were staying there. We said no. He said we couldn't enter. It's a private resort. It's not strictly an all inclusive...

As Vidanta owners we are always looking for the best experience from our substantial investment at the Mayan properties. Having returned today from a two week stay these are fresh thoughts! The staff are very, very friendly and attentive, some we enjoyed seeing after four years away. The room and pool furniture are getting tired, the artwork dated and our...

Ate a wonderful breakfast, toured beautiful facilities, but then hit the dreaded Grand Mayan pressure sales pitch. Their golf and tennis club is across the street and they are talking about expanding further down the beach area. Beautiful facility.

Finally!! A beautiful beachfront resort that does not blast loud music all day or scream bingo numbers over a speaker ! If you are looking for a lively resort with a party atmosphere-- head on over to Cabo San Lucas. But if you want to relax and enjoy gorgeous scenery in a quiet, upscale atmosphere, the Grand Mayan fits the...

We planned this vacation with our 2 adult sons who were both going to turn 30 this year. We bought this week through Luxury Vacations and stayed at the Grand Mayan as it was the only place I could find in Mexico or the Caribbean that had 2 rooms available. We were told over the phone that we could upgrade...

Great place for the price. right on the marina close to everything. Wifi is not the best, but there is 3 computers in the lobby. Can take a water taxi to the beach. lots of restaurants close by. $2 tacos just downstairs, the shrimp one are the best.

As others noted the pool was cool, but just right for swimming in my opinion. At night there was a beautiful fire pit by the just a few steps from our unit. We were very comfortable sitting on our patio listening to the waves.
