Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos garners mixed reviews, with its location praised for scenic views and accessibility to transportation despite the noise disturbances and challenging walkability. While some guests find the rooms clean and spacious, others face maintenance woes and discomfort, further marred by housekeeping concerns such as delayed service and extra charges.
The value of the stay is frequently questioned due to unforeseen costs and subpar dining experiences. Amenities often fall short, with shortages and functionality issues, and the hotel's vibrant atmosphere and varying service levels contribute to a divisive guest experience.

We were worried going into vacation based on other reviews, but were pleasantly surprised! Great trip.
Altitude tower was amazing, loved our breakfast in Mexican restaurant, loved the snacks, bar and beverages available to grab above the Sports bar. Italian à la cart was magnifico!

We recently visited Reflect and was disappointed with our overall experience.
The Room: When we arrived just after 3pm, our room was not ready and we were told it was being deep cleaned and would be ready in an hour. Once we got to the room, it was a huge disappointment. Not only was it super small, but the bathroom sink didn’t have a handle ultimately making it inoperable. We reported it to the front desk and was told the resort was completely booked. After further back and forth, they showed us a room in the Residence tower. It was a nice one bedroom suite but it only had one bed. (Our original reservation was for a double.) The front desk ultimately said we had to take the king bed suite or the double bed room with the broken sink. We went with the king bed suite and tried to make it work by using the sofa bed, which is not fit for a dog. The second major issue was the shower. There’s no pressure in the shower, which many guests complained about. In addition, in our suite, the hot water would go in and out while taking a shower. Maintenance came multiple times to “fix” the issue but it was never resolved. Also, if you stay at the Residence, please be advised that the resort sits in a busy street and you can hear the noise from the road very well in the bedrooms.
Features/Amenities: As for the resort itself, all three pools were supposed to be heated but none were. The hot tub was warm at best. Probably what the pools would have felt like had they been heated as advertised. On New Year’s Eve, the WiFi went down and was not fixed by the time we left the next afternoon.
Dining: The food options in the resort were mediocre. The best feature is the coffee shop and the snack bar by the pools. One night, I called for room service around 10pm). All the restaurants close early (10:30-11pm). No one answered the phone. After trying to reach them for 30 minutes, I finally gave up and went to bed hungry.

Dear Dee Y. Thank you for sharing your feedback to this mean, our guest´s comments are very important and help us work to improve and reach perfection in our service and product. There seems to have been a number of deficiencies encountered which are very atypical and not reflective of our brand experience. We regret not meeting all your expectations during your visit, our guest's satisfaction is very important. Please trust we have taken your comments very seriously and you can be assured that the necessary re-training measures are being instituted to prevent recurrences in the future. A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
Our stay was a bit mixed. I purchased a package from a 3rd party vendor only to find out we had to do a 90 min time share presentation at a different location. I was not told this when I purchased. Reflect Krystal was one of the resorts we could pick from. We were give a room in the older portion of the resort with a "garden view" of the resort next door. The older part of the resort definitely needs to be upgraded and some repairs made. I did upgrade to a beach view in the same section, and the room was nice. That said, the staff was amazing. They were very attentive and helpful. The food at the buffet was ok. The pool bar was good and very busy. The food there was fine. Not outstanding. We did eat at the steak and Mexican restaurants, and they were very good. We also enjoyed a couples massage that was amazing. One thing that was very annoying, was a convention was being held at the resort. So several nights there was VERY loud music that continued past 11pm. I was disappointed that the hotel staff did not quiet them after 10pm. My recommendation is to make sure you are in the newer portion of the hotel and insist on an ocean view.

I stayed at the Reflect Krystal Grand early to mid December. The weather was spectacular.
I went for one week on my own, and my main goal was to relax. I decided to spend a little extra on a swim out room. I certainly would recommend it. They are away from the other pools enough that you feel like you can sit back and relax, get some sun, and slip into the water (right off the chairs!) to cool off.
You also get served by the servers in these rooms, which I didn’t expect. They don’t come around as much as the main pools or beach, but it was nice that I could order a few margheritas at a time and some food.
Speaking of food… the food is okay. It’s not as good as dining at a restaurant outside of the resort. The best food I had was the teppanyaki at Amayi. You have to make a reservation for it, it opens at 3 for reservations and I recommend getting there 15 minutes early. It’s quite a show!
The service was great. The room service however, isn’t fantastic. I ordered some water and beer to my room and it was over 2 hours. I ended up just leaving to go to the front desk to get water. That’s the other thing, there is daily refills of your mini-fridge, but you have to be in your room when they come around to answer the door. Otherwise I don’t believe they refill.
Make sure you bring enough cash for tips, the servers and workers deserve it. Plus if you run out of cash, the ATMs on the resort cost about $10USD to withdrawl from, plus I had a charge from my bank back home. I wish I had brought $20 more.
Overall, I really enjoyed my experience. I would definitely come back to Reflect Los Cabos again for the sun, hospitality, and relaxation.

Beware the Ocean View Junior Suite rooms: the hotel room door opens right on to the very busy, very loud highway and the traffic NEVER stops. We had to 'downgrade' to an older room that was on the first floor and near the pools but it had a beautiful ocean view too without the traffic keeping us up all night. Unfortunately, we did not get any refund or free perks to make up for the room downgrade.
The other negative feedback is that there is hardly any (at all) indoor space to relax and lounge in. All the restaurants are completely open to the wind except for the sports bar (no kids allowed), the little coffee shop, the Japanese restaurant, and part of the international buffet. So there is really nowhere to play cards or just hang out that is comfortable if the breeze gets to be a bit too much, which it was over Christmas vacation when we were there. And if it is windy, which it often is in Cabo, then your dinner dining choices are very limited too as a result. All the entertainment is also outdoors (the fire show on the beach was great though!)
On the positive side, the staff were very nice, the 2 main pools are big and nicely heated, the whole resort was very clean, there is a well-equipped teen club for when they need a break, the food was pretty good for the most part, and the drinks are strong! Most all-inclusives water all the drinks down so much but not here. It really was an attractive resort that we all had a fun time at.
Just the 2 big complaints that have nothing to do with the service we received but strictly the design of the hotel. It would be a good idea for them to convert a couple blocks of rooms into indoor places for guests to lounge in and relax in the evening. It would also be a good idea to block the traffic noise for all those lovely ocean view rooms with a solid wall between the hotel room doors and the highway, instead of just the railing that is there now.
I guess also it would have been nice to receive something, even small, since we downgraded our room and didn't get any refund. A free robe or basic spa treatment would have made me happy.
This was our third trip to Cabo and our first time at this hotel, but I would go back to the other resort we stayed at twice before and absolutely love (before coming back to this one). That said, I know I also have high standards and from what we saw and talked about with other guests, most of them seemed to be really enjoying their stay there alot. Nobody can control the weather.

Beautiful resort, so clean and well maintained. check-in was easy and efficient. brand new elevators, never had to wait. We were on the 7th floor of the Unique tower, yes there was road noise but also noise from a large exhaust fan. if you are concerned about the noise, book the Palmilla tower or upgrade to Altitude. large rooms, huge walk-in shower with overhead rainfall, bottles of shampoo, body wash and lotion.
Service at restaurants was pretty good, one night at Risotto a little slower but I think they were short staff. We also tried the Grill and Ayami (Japanese hibachi) as well as the buffet and Pirate night and Mexican night. Surfos snack bar for lunch was perfect, definitely try the fish tacos! Shoutout to Erica at the Pool/beach bar - she is amazing! The Coco Cafe was a great addition, specialty coffees 24 hrs a day.
wifi worked throughout the resort, sometimes spotty, password changes on Sundays.
No towel card and no problem to get an extra towel by the pool. Lots of activities during the day. No theatre at this resort but they had a pirate show, mexican dancers night, rock band, jazz group, etc. come in. karaoke night at the sports bar
We really enjoyed this smaller, quiet resort and would definitely go back.

I'll lay out the facts as i'd like to keep this NOT about my opinion but actual facts about the resort.
Important to note that we traveled as a family with a 2 small kids
Firstly, the resort is right on the main highway between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. this means you have access to the commuter bus which is cheap and efficient but also, it is extremely loud in the front lobby bar, lobby lounge, and the Residence building.
Second, they have pool volleyball and beach volleyball for JUST 1 HOUR/DAY each. I like to play volleyball to pass the time while at an all-inclusive and found this to be a big negative.
Third, over the course of the 1 week we were there, there was entertainment scheduled just 1 evening for everyone. it was very well done and everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I don't count a movie playing on a projector on the lawn or the beach as entertainment for large demographic.
Forth, be aware that the photos of the rooms are deceiving as the so called suites" are much, much smaller than they appear on booking sites.
I would leave off saying that we've been to a number of much better 4-star resorts when it comes to activities, quality of food and location for a beach getaway.
If you go to this resort expecting 3 star quality, you would likely not be disappointed.

Just returned from a three night stay at Reflect and can’t wait to return! A total of six couples, three of us celebrating our 50th birthdays, were treated wonderfully. We used Amstar transfers, three separate arrivals, with ease to the resort. They were awaiting each group for a quick, private transfer, to meet Raúl in the hotel lobby for check in in the UVC lounge with Josefina. Josefina was extremely patient and helpful checking in each couple upon arrival. The two couples who had paid for a lesser category room were upgraded to an ocean view suite with the other four couples and we were given rooms all together on the 7th floor in the main building. As a welcome gift, each couple was given a beach bag with two hats and a water bottle. A bottle of wine or champagne was also placed in each room along with a birthday dessert in the appropriate rooms.
We spent the majority of our time during the days atop the Altitude Tower. We cannot say enough about Enrique, who we prefer to call a mixologist rather than bartender, always had a smile (and sometimes song) with his service! Ask for his crazy eye margarita. And his side kick, Jonathon, the sushi chef, made amazing rolls!
The breakfast buffet was as expected with a variety of foods including two omelet bars. For lunch we tried the Grill once, and relied on the snack shack for nachos, fries and chicken wings. For dinner we ate at the Mexican and Italian restaurants, where unfortunately the majority of our food arrived cold. We also dined at the teppanyaki restaurant. The service at each of the restaurants was great but the food could use some improvement, perhaps in part was the number in our party. But again, thank you to Raúl who secured a teppanyaki reservation and Carlos who secured the reservation at the Italian restaurant.
We also arranged a photo shoot on site, and were happy with the results!
As a comparison, we have stayed at Sunscape, Now and Secrets resorts. This resort by far has surpassed the service we have ever received, again with a special thank you to Raúl and Enrique!

about 25% of the resort is open. The staff was friendly but not as careful (nor were the other visitors), as when we stayed for a couple nights at Dreams just two weeks prior. If you are visiting within the next month, I would suggest you read other reviews to know what to expect, as there are limited food options and just the "adult pool" is open (for everyone, not just adults). Please also protect yourself by bring your own sanitizer as although the staff is trying, they are not super careful as they are at Dreams. Also had to wait three hours for a room even though a UVC member with five reservations between now and the end of 2020, and the AC in room 2702 did not work well. We were okay with all of this because the stay was only one night, but if we were there for a week, we would have asked to change rooms.

Room was older in style but decent and clean. We had a spacious two bedroom, two bath with living room and patio. Each room had its mini split air conditioner and t.v.s. Housekeeping comes daily which is wonderful. Family pools and separate adult only pools available with swim-up bar. Loved the energy of the folks coordinating the daily activities. We played archery, danced, waterpolo, water volleyball and beach volleyball. Very kid friendly. The resort is covid concious. You must wear mask except when eating and swimming, many hand sanitizers are located throughout the property. They also require you to hand sanitizer before being seated in the restaurants. You must do the all inclusive as there aren't really any other options. The best restaurant is Ayami but it's difficult to get a reservation for the habashi table. Gotta show up at least 30 mins before they start taking reservations or you won't get one. Donaldo is the best entertaining chef @ Ayami.
The slushy drinks are not very alcoholic so you gotta ask for the strong stuff. I wasn't a fan of the buffet except during breakfast. The street taco night was yummy. The Grille is good too.
Oh major issue for me was not having enough canopies over the pool chairs. It's too hot not to have enough and it was super hot. Ppl woke up early and reserved the best seats which were gone by 7:30 a.m. They stayed all day. Sucked for us until we started doing same. Hotel needs more canopies!!
Also the resort should stock up on kid floaties and pool toys. They ran out and we had to go to the supermarket. You know all the kids want them once they see other kids with them.
Not much to do close by outside the resort so get ready to either enjoy the resort or pay for excursions outside the resort, or both.
We had a wonderful trip overall though.

We did not have a suite nor did we have bathrobes. They stock your mini bar with two waters and three sodas per day. If you want more then you have to pay for the service even with all inclusive.
