The resort is very pretty. Great service and food at all the restaurants. Buffett could have more options for food. Maids were okay. Bell boys were very nice and helpful especially Adolfo! They played 2 movies on the beach which was lots of fun! But wish they had more activities to do both during the day and at night.

Friend and I had a great time in August 2022. Pablo and Pedro at the swim up bar were fantastic! Most food was very good, risotto and ayami were the best for dinner. Helpful staff at the front desk and concierge.

I travelled here with a friend for a girls trip and we had the most amazing time. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and there was lots to do both on and off the resort. If you plan on taking a vacation here, look for Pablo and Pedro at the swim up bar. They were so attentive and made sure we had the best time.

At the krystal Grand we meet the best employee. His name is Alfredo Castro. He was the most fun, exciting and friendly person we meet in a long time. Went out of his way to answer all our question and advised us on we’re to go. Never once did we feel like we were bothering him. We really believe with his customer service he should be training at that resort. The only downfall was we never got refills of coffee in are room and had to ask for extra towels as there was only one when we arrived.

I’ll start out by saying that I have travelled to many different resorts 19 to be exact and all different resort chains. This was the the lowest rating I have experienced and the most expensive. My family of 4 stayed here July 31-Aug7. We knew We weren’t coming to a 5 star resort I thought maybe a 3 but in reality this is a 2 star resort and those 2 stars go toward food and some incredible staff. CHECK IN: Check in took us 45 min with no line up. A family that I spoke to said it took them 5 hours to get checked in! That’s insane! When we arrived we upgraded to an ocean view suite. originally we were booked in the 1 bedroom suite in the building across the street that is further away and boy did we regret that decision to upgrade. First of all what you need to know is that when this resort hits capacity the generator can’t handle it and you will lose A/C We had no air for almost 3 days it was 31 degrees in our room and when we did have AC our room was still at 26/27 degrees. They know this happens but yet they still book to capacity and they still took our money to upgrade to a room that would have no AC. If you’re booked in the 1 bedroom suites across the way - they run on a different system so the AC was fine over there ( we were kicking ourselves) we actually had to rent a air B&B just so we could escape then sweltering heat on our top floor room. We fought to get our upgrade money back but it was a fight and not 💯 we will receive it. SECOND- our bathroom flooded every time we showered because there was no dip in the floor and the shower was clogged . I phoned the front desk regarding this every single day sometimes multiple times plus I went to the front desk and not once did anyone try to resolve the issue. My 5 year old slipped twice and all of our towels we had to use to soak up all the water. Cleaning staff: non existent. I can make my own bed. That’s all that was done. Ever. Garbage accumulated, bottles etc. I’ve never seen or experienced anything like this place in all of my visits to Mexico or any other resort in the world. FOOD: this is in my opinion one of the better things about this resort. However, it’s not always available and that was disappointing when You arrive after travelling and can’t get food.The Al la carte restaurants save this place but the wait times were sometimes an hour and a half! That’s not acceptable. the buffet is incredibly small with very minimal options. Breakfast is the best time to have the buffet with some of the best omelettes I’ve had at a resort! The cafe is lovely. Coffee every morning. BEACH: beautiful. Not swimmable but we knew that. POOL: lots of chipped tiles so be aware. My husband was up at 5am to get a chair with shade because they were all gone by 7. It’s a problem . They need more umbrellas. There is only music playing if there’s a volley ball game or activity on at the pool otherwise no music. It doesn’t have to be blaring music but put something fun and upbeat on. I heard many people complaining about that. Music creates a much happier vibe. POOL SERVICE: if you got the money you’ll get the service. It’s that simple. Tip well and that will ensure that you get good service. Shout out to Melanie and Luis ( I think it was Luis) they treated us so well. It is what made our trip enjoyable. It was all the pool Bar staff. Thank you. So although we had a great family vacation by choosing to not let things ruin our trip. I will NEVER stay here or would I ever stay at any Krystal chain anywhere. I have never been more disappointed in a resort . It was the lack of effort put into resolving any issues and lack of caring about their guests.

Great family hotel in the more mellow San jose del cabo area. kids loved surfing on Costa Azul.The room were nice and big, the family had a great time. Loved the hotel but they could make the front of the hotel look better, it looks dirty from the street, the view from Highway 1 of the hotel is pretty sad, dirty walls etc.

We stepped off the airport shuttle and were immediately greeted by the wonderful Moisés Luna. He took extra time to show us around the Hotel. Every morning, he sent the Hotel restaurant and activities schedule - EVEN on his days off!! We hadn’t been to San Jose del Cabo before and it’s always a little worrisome when you’re in a new country (especially after covid). Having someone like Moisés looking after you is really a comfort. I will definitely seek him out the next time I’m in SJD!

It was disappointing. The buffet was terrible. The furniture in the lobby was worn out and dirty. Fingerprints were marked on all the chromed finishes in elevators. We were convinced to use an all inclusive since, otherwise, you can’t order anything from the restaurants aside from water. However, the buffet restaurant was very dirty with dirty plates on trays laying around which made birds fill the area. The food was poor quality, cold and with no variety. Since we decided not to pay an all inclusive stay when we realized the quality of the food, our room was downgraded. We agreed to it and can’t really complain since they did tell us the rooms were older but the facilities were not maintained at all. The room was clean and the bedsheets new, but there were AC issues in the living room and really old furnishings and overall maintenance. The good things were the adult-only pool and some of the staff were very helpful and service-oriented. Overall, I would not come back. We wanted to have a nice vacation but it was stressful.

Pros: restaurants are nice Food is great Atmosphere is nice Staff is on it and taking care of their clientele Con: Hotel is broken down A/C doesn’t work They don’t disclose that many of the restaurants are closed on various odd days They don’t disclose prices of wine until after you bought it Plan to pay double for souvenirs or any item you wish to take home. The price seems reasonable until you stay here I stayed 5 days and the Airconditioning either barely worked or didn’t work at all. Staff was clueless about the problem or how to remedy it. I had my AC running for hours and it was still approximately 80 degrees in my room. Overall: the staff works very hard to please their guests but it’s really hard to enjoy the resort when they can’t fix major issues such as air conditioning or door locks. I’ve had my ac set to the lowest it will go for days and nothing.
