Hilton Vacation Club Cabo Azul Los Cabos is celebrated for its cleanliness, with guests consistently lauding spotless grounds and pools. The spacious, pristine rooms are also a hit, although views can vary. While the resort's atmosphere and amenities, including full kitchens and multiple pools, are well-received, some travelers suggest enhancing the ambiance with local music.
Despite the serene location near attractions, swimming in the ocean is discouraged. The service garners positive remarks, but improvements in efficiency have been noted. Value-conscious guests might find the food and drink prices and resort fees steep.

We were fortunate to get an RCI exchange for a 2 BR at this lovely resort.
Staff : all were exceptional from check-in to check-out. The porters were particularly friendly and helpful. We cannot comment on restaurant staff as we chose to eat outside of the resort or cook within our suite.
Resort : the rooms were extremely comfortable, with all amenities provided and a very well equipped full kitchen. Spacious and clean. The daily resort fee, however, pricey and it was good that self-serve laundry facilities were available. The best part was the heated outdoor pools - something that not all resorts in Mexico provide. The pools were large, clean and lovely with lots of pool chairs; however, finding pool towels was a challenge. There were many lounge areas by the beach as well. The resort provided an after checkout room to rest if needed whilst waiting for your transport back to the airport but one had to book/request this. We did not try any of the on-site restaurants given the exorbitant prices being charged - which was very disappointing.

My kind and generous partner brought me to Cabo Azul for my 65th birthday. We've been fortunate enough to come to Cabo many times over the last 10 years but this tops them all! When we arrived on Saturday, 20 July, we knew we were early for our arrival by a couple hours. Once the 3 o'clock check-in time passed, I was getting tired of waiting so I went to the front desk to check on the status. The gentleman told me he was going to see if there's anything he can do. He asked if I would be willing to take a room on the ground floor instead of the second floor. He said that it would have an adults only pool right outside of our door. How can I say no to that?! It ended up being one of the best rooms we've ever stayed in. Room 4106! Similar to an apartment, but no kitchen, Which was fine. The room was beautiful, spotless, cool and comfortable. The bed was firm and very nice. Plenty of pillows and extra linens. The extra little touches of lighting behind the mirrors and behind the headboard Made it that much more special. Even though we were pretty close to the front reception area, it was very quiet! But the pool outside of our patio was the topper! A large uncomfortable, hot tub was also available. Neither of us have ever been much into the swimming part of vacations, even with lovely pools and amenities, but this was different. We were in the pool every morning and every night. Beautiful lounges and private cabanas surrounded the pool area. Towels were available, too. Poolside menu was very good. I love kids and at the same time, the adult only pool was a treat! The water was a little warm sometimes, but it was so peaceful and the surrounding area was aesthetically Perfect. Can't say enough about the staff! Every person we encountered was nice and friendly and willing to help , checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. My partner also treated me to a couples massage, which was a huge luxury! The spa had some construction going on, so they called us the night before to see if we would be OK with moving it to the beach side cabanas. Luckily, we got a day with a breeze off the ocean, which helped, and the massage was top-notch! Paulina was my masseuse and she was amazing! Lying there, hearing the waves and feeling the breeze while being treated to a wonderful massage, was the epitome of luxury! Could not believe how lucky I am! The spa amenities were so lovely and a treat in every way! They even brought me another birthday treat while I was relaxing in the hot tub/cold plunge area. Cucumbers for your eyes, wet cloths for your head, lotions and soaps galore. Not to mention everything you need to take a shower and do your hair after you're done relaxing. Could not have asked for anything more! The food at the resort was very good. Javier's was lovely and we enjoyed a delicious beach side dinner. Another birthday dessert and a wonderful evening. Cabo Azul is located across the street from a lovely little shopping area with some restaurants and interesting little stores. Close to other very nice hotels where we ventured for other meals. I cannot say enough about this place and I'm hoping that I am lucky enough that I can come back one day. Best vacation I think I've ever had! Grateful and thankful and fortunate and lucky!!

Having stayed at many resorts, including the Westin here in Cabo, we agreed that Cabo Azul is at the top of the list. Recognizing that nothing is ever perfect, we felt that the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. The rooms were beautiful and simply appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and if we did need anything, it was provided in minutes. Laundry facilities nearby at no cost. Turn-down service (so rare these days) and housekeeping that touched every surface in the place...every day. Yes, the food at Javier's was expensive, but it is a special-occasion kind of place and the sea bass we had was one of the best of our lives. Special thanks to the concierge staff, especially Emilio who treats each person as if they are the most important guest at the hotel. I lost a diamond earring in the hot tub at the Serenity pool and days later it was returned to me. So many thanks to the maintenance staff and security for that. The sunset cruise we got as a perk for going to the owner's update was a bunch of drunk people with very loud music, terrible food, and a DJ who loudly narrates the entire trip. If that's fun for you...enjoy. We did see whales, though. We had a wonderful, relaxing and fun vacation. January can be chilly, especially in the morning, but the tropical sun is warm.

The Paz Spa at Cabo Azul hotel was wonderful and so relaxing! After two days of excursions and a long night of wedding festivities, getting a massage at this facility was so worth it. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. From the locker check in, Connie was a warm and welcome locker concierge. They have a dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi tub, showers, all available to use the rest of the day if you want after your service. Or for $30 usd, you can just use the facilities within a service. Before your service you're to in room with the jacuzzi, hot tea and water available to sip while indulging in the calming atmosphere. I had the Relax & Unwind massage with Paulina. As you walk into the room, you are welcomed by the wonderful scent of a eucalyptus citrus essential oil. Paulina's technique was so therapeutic- starting with hot stones, to adding heating pads to areas that were not being massaged, then moments where you breath in a lavender eucalyptus essential oil- it was very relaxing! She was careful and attentive- asking about pressure or carefully wrapping your hair so oils did leave it greasy. The spa was just the perfect addition to staying at this beautiful hotel.

Cabo Azul is one of our favorite places to visit. The pool and grounds are beautiful. They even have lounge beds on the water. The waiters, especially Ruben, take care of your every need. Don’t miss 2-for-1 happy hour daily from 3-5 pm. Arturo, one of the rec staff, led aqua Zumba and aqua bike classes that were not only fun, but great exercise. Cesar, another rec staff, was really helpful during bracelet making class. The rooms are beautiful (but be sure to bring socks or slippers because the marble floor gets cold). The bathrooms are equipped with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, lotion and a hair dryer. There are robes in your room. Each room has a full kitchen. Good idea to bring along some ziplock bags or foil for leftovers. There’s also a market on site, or a large grocery store just up the street. Save Thursday nights for art walk in the city, just a short walk or bus ride up the street. The fitness center is state of the art and is kept at a nice cool temperature. There is a Starbucks and gelato on site too. This is a great place to relax and unwind. Note to those who like to go in the ocean - you cannot swim at the beach in front of the resort.

A Perfect Stay at Hilton Cabo Azul – Exceptional Service and Stunning Property
From the moment we arrived at Hilton Cabo Azul, we were warmly welcomed by an outstanding team dedicated to making every guest feel special. The reception staff, housekeeping, pool and beach teams—every single employee we encountered—greeted us with a friendly “hola” and a genuine smile, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that made our stay truly unforgettable.
The rooms are impeccably designed, with a perfect layout that maximizes comfort and relaxation. The appliances are brand new, the linens luxuriously comfortable, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. The grounds are beautifully manicured, showcasing the resort’s commitment to maintaining an elegant and serene environment. Whale watching from our beach chairs made everyday memorable. The beach is fantastic at this property.
A highlight of our stay was meeting the General Manager, who was incredibly kind and hospitable, reinforcing the culture of excellence that is evident in every aspect of the resort.
Simply put, Hilton Cabo Azul is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, impeccable service, or a stunning location, this property delivers on every level. We can’t wait to return!

Where do I begin?? First upon entering you will be warmly greeted with huge smiles as your bags are taken away by the bell service. Got a car? Taken away with complimentary valet. Hilton Club Members will receive complimentary tequila shots and you will soon walk under the magnificent rope chandelier, so grand, you will need to take a picture! Upon room entry you will be greeted with beautiful hand carved wooden furniture, so unique you immediately think you need to redo your bedroom decor at home. Walk on your shiny travertine floors, look at your huge kitchen with the softest lighting, smile at your immaculate bathroom, and now you are ready to relax. Breathtaking views will indulge your senses from your balcony, (if you had the privilege of a deluxe pool, ocean view or oceanfront room selection) and as you stare at the magnificent grounds, you will immediately applaud yourself for choosing this resort. Oh yes, 4 Endless heated infinity pools, 4 jacuzzi’s, (1 is pool sized), hot and never over crowded! One pool dedicated to the little one’s in building 7. Gracious amount of loungers, canopy beds, and day beds covered in soft cotton terry cloth over solid wood frames, so comfortable you are never in a hurry to get up! At night, should you desire, you will receive turn down service which is rare these days, I forgot it existed. A 5 star restaurant with magnificent ocean views (Javier’s)! Best swim-up bar staff, and food at Flor De Noche that can be brought right to your lounger. But the Cherry on top? The most friendly and dedicated staff that will further solidify that you made the right choice, in case this was still a question! The staff never stops working, even at 10pm, tree lighting needs repair? They are on it. Need extra blankets or dishes? on it, in minutes you never need to ask twice or wait for hours. One must also not leave this resort without indulging in the almond croissants and cinnamon rolls from the cafe/bakery (building 5) made fresh daily. Daily water exercise classes with Luna or Jose is a must, to work off those tacos. Once you venture out, across the street are shops, pharmacies and great dining options, Forchetta’s being the very best Italian, a must go. Within a mile you will find 2 grocery stores, La Comer & Chedraui if you want to use your kitchen or get snacks at a better price than the onsite market place. Congratulations to the General Manager, Sebastien, for his excellent daily orchestration of this beautiful masterpiece!! He is clearly obsessed with detail and top notch service. Thank you, Paulina, Sebastian, Gael, David, William, and Marelisa for all your assistance, smiles and laughter! We can’t wait to return! Salud!

This is our 3rd time coming to Cabo azul and we used to really look forward to it. I think for future trips we will have to explore other options. The resort is beautiful, but the experience just isn’t what it used to be. Towels run out each day by 5pm but pools are open until 10. Staff at front desk is hit or miss on friendliness. Check in is at 4 and nothing earlier is available, which is understand when they are at capacity…..but when check in is at 4, rooms should be ready at 4. When we were finally given keys at 4:45, they changed our room and we inherited a fruit basket from someone else.
Overall there is a loss in the attention to detail and service since this sold to Hilton from diamond resorts and it seems like it’s continuing to decline. In September the serenity pool still had waiters and occasionally warm towels being passed. During this stay we can’t seem to get either. It’s just disappointing considering the level of service this hotel used to offer.
Mattresses on beds are also pretty stiff and feel cheap. No lotion in the rooms.
The (mostly) ladies doing room service were very friendly and helpful. Security is also very friendly.
It’s also worth noting that many guests are noticing, while trying to relax near serenity pool we heard a conversation of time share holders talk about the change and their now inability to book the larger rooms.

HGVC Azul Cabos is a beautiful luxury resort. The 2 bedroom partial ocean view was big, luxurious with breath taking view of the ocean. Rooms are very large with jacuzzi in the master and a walk out to balcony which wraps around to the living room balcony. The guest/kids room is adjoining the master. Kitchen is equipped for a comfortable stay. Decor is dated. There is free house keeping and turn down services every day. We moved to a 1 bedroom with pool view for the last 2 nights. Room is very large with a jaccuzi in the master with jacuzzi and a walk patio which connects to the living room patio. Kitchen is the same size as the 2 bedroom and equipped for a comfortable stay. Decor is dated. We loved the 1 bedroom as it is compact with the washroom accessible from the living and the master bedroom. There is additional closet space for the pullout guests/kids in the living room. Due to the availability, we got a ground floor which has little or no privacy and disturbing with loud voices from the pool area. Gym is a fair size and well equipped with newer equipment and safety requirements.
Beautiful white sandy beach is within yards but cannot swim due to the rough ocean. There are 2 lovely large pools and a Kids pool. Resort restaurants, general store and coffee shop are very expensive. However, there are good restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, bars within walking distance. Walking around in the before dark is very safe. Uber service is reasonable but cannot enter the hotel. Staff are very helpful.

I'm going to start with a few details that were missing and then explain why this hotel is one of the best in Cabo!
1) The bottled water is $9 and that is more than a galloon of gas 2) They don't provide water to brush your teeth or to use at the coffee machine. This is silly. If water is filtered and doesn't require bottled water, then signage should be placed. 3) They charge a resort fee, but many times, the pool station was out of towels or house keeping did not return after a few hours. (Not sure why housekeeping doesn't use tablets to keep track of their rooms?) 4) The resident restaurant is incredibly overpriced and lacks flavor
