I have to say, I’ve never felt so scammed by a hotel in my life! I’ve stayed at dozens of Hyatts across the US without issue, but wow has this placed dropped the ball. They made us wait 4 hours to check in even though the room was “ready”. Then offered a “special deal” to pay $15 EACH hour before we could check in. That would have been an extra $60 USD. We were exhausted from traveling, carrying luggage, etc and this place went out of their way to make life harder, not easier. Then they double charged me the room as I paid through Priceline and then they charged me a second rate once we got here. As far the actual room, it smells distinctly of mustard and the after smell of steam cleaning after dog messes. Not joking. The “ocean view” that I paid extra for was actually a view of abandoned buildings and a homeless camp, but if you squint enough you can see the ocean from the corner. The actual access to the beach is very difficult and you’ll have to walk through the homeless camp to get there. There is NO HOT WATER. A barely lukewarm very weak pressure shower is what you’ll settle for. The bathroom sink was completely broken and moves all over which ends up leaking below and getting the shelves and floor wet. The conditioner bottle in the room was open and half used. The sounds of the road outside the window do not cease, you may as well sleep on the roadway. I woke up with several red bites/welts that had clearly happened in the night. When we went down for breakfast, they tried to charge $10 for masks to walk through the lobby even though no one was wearing a mask. And best of all, they offer a free airport transport online which is the MAIN reason I booked this hotel. They said they are aware they put this up but what it “actually” means is that they will book you a taxi at your OWN cost. No shuttle exists. Everything at this hotel was terrible beyond belief. I’m not sure I could ever trust another Hyatt in general but I know that I will NEVER come back to this one. I urge US citizens with any sense to stay away because the standards here are very unacceptable. To sum up the experience, the word would be “janky” : of extremely poor or unreliable quality.…
The pictures almost say it all but what you can’t see was the horrible smell of the room. The smell was so awful I switched beds and husband had to sleep on the couch. We originally booked the king suite with sofa bed but they informed us when we arrived that this room would not accommodate 3 people. ? I trusted him and agreed to stay in a room with 2 beds. Once we saw the room, my husband immediately went down to ask for the room we originally booked. They said it was gone. I have been a loyal Hyatt Club member for many years. This was extremely disappointing. Pics are of: Dirty wall in bathroom Dirty toilet Plastic shades with holes in them The beautiful view from our room A drawer that won’t close Filthy couch Frayed carpet
We rented a suite with sofa bed but we’re told our family of 3 couldn’t fit? They gave us what I’m assuming is the worst room in the hotel. The carpet stunk of feet and in one area, feces. I had to change beds and share with my daughter to avoid smelling it while trying to sleep. My husband “slept” on the sofa, which was filthy. The curtains had holes, the carpet was badly frayed, and the bathroom was filthy with debris behind the toilet, and brown walls in spots. The armoire had a drawer that wouldn’t close. I took pictures to document everything. The manager refused to change our room. The Hyatt customer service number has been disconnected. I honestly could not believe this experience. We also got food poisoning from restaurant, although the tacos were great. Maybe it was the ice from the drinks? Seriously awful.…
I will definitely come back here if I have a chance to visit this area again. Customer service is very friendly. Location is very convenient. The place is clean. Very good breakfast included. Highly recommended to others.
Good location, everything is a short distance to beach, restaurants and La comer (big grocery store).Staff are very friendly. The breakfast buffet- Mexican and American breakfast are excellent. We love our stay!
Everything is fine. Except the two ubert taxi drivers changed the itinerary without my approval and costed me a lot more money. Hotel should watch out about those uber drivers. The hotel is a business class and very convenient. Just one mistake but that as been solved with the gm in a professional manner quickly
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was ok. Overall great experience and great food restaurants surrounding the hotel. About 25 min ride in a cab from the marina in San Lucas.
My second year at Hyatt Place and it didn’t disappoint. I like being able to walk/run on the beach which is a two blocks away from hotel. There’s also a major grocery store around the corner from the hotel and other local shops. There’s a great restaurant down the street in front of the Hyatt Ziva for lunch and dinner. You’re also about a 20 minute taxi ride from the Airport or Los Cabos. This time on the way to the airport we had to stop to let the goats cross the freeway.
Hotel located in Hotel Zone close to highway within walking distance to stores, McDonald, subway, cafes, beach and bus station. Hotel was clean, rooms big enough. Parking is in hotel basement, $8 per day. Avis rental car within 5 min walk, park for kids is near by. Swim with dolphin park is also within walking distance. Overall, good hotel. Hotel workers made guests uncomfortable over masks regulations in dining area. Some guests with kids had to leave dining area over masks regulations. Hotel did not provide masks to their guests unfortunately. Hotel concierge ALEX was the BEST.
Not much in walking distance...the bar closed hours before I got out of my work conference and if you need food after hours your only options are microwave pizzas. Not a good place for vegetarians and especially not vegans.
