We came here on the last leg of a long journey down the Baja peninsula as a way to relax after many activities, which this was perfect for. We did not stay long enough to try any concierge services (we had done day trips for the past week) or the spa. It was satisfying to sit in warmth (the rest of the peninsula was mostly chilly if not downright cold) at this expansive luxury all inclusive. The people who work here make it an especially wonderful place. They really go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and wanting for nothing. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are really nice and the setting is outstanding. The beach is really beautiful, I'm not really sure why its unswimable since it's ok to do SUP and further down people do go into the water. (Perhaps lack of lifeguards?). Either way it's pretty to sit on and look out on the whales passing by in the distance. The pools were clearly the center of the resort, as at most places like this. We were always able to get a lounge chair which is sometimes a problem at other resorts. It gets a little crowded and sometimes it was a little loud. For whatever reason the water itself (nice temp, clear, lovely..) is mostly empty with people tending to congregate near the swim up bar and the infinity edge. The bars, btw, are first class. Any drink you can name, they can make. There are so many great cocktails listed and champagne flows freely. After a trip here, even if only for a few days like us, your liver will need it's own vacation as it's really easy to lose track. The restaurants are nice, we loved Portofino (the Italian place) but we would have loved some more plant-based options. The bath products were high end and not in those annoying single serving bottles that you can't squeeze the liquid out of. This place seems very geared towards Americans and we found no other countries represented in our guest interactions. There were lots of family activities and the children seemed happy and engaged. Another great thing - no wristbands everyone is on the all inclusive plan. It would probably be easy to get caught up in the lazy poolside experience but please leave the resort at some point. We liked it here and would recommend it as long as you also take advantage of all the amazing things this part of Mexico has to offer.

Having said that it has everything you need, plus added whale spotting as an extra bonus. I can’t really fault the resort, it ticked all of our boxes, so it really comes down to what you look for in a holiday. The resort is clean and well maintained. The staff are super friendly, the room was great with a minibar that was restocked daily (needed to give them a nudge a couple of times but it was resolved). Some of the rooms may experience some road noise, but all of the hotels between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo sit along the costal road.
World Cafe (El Patio by night) the buffet restaurant was probably my favourite place to eat primarily based on choice and location. Barefoot (on the beach) provides basic lunches (chilli dogs etc) and the Seaside restaurant is also open for lunch. Three other restaurants Portofino, Bordeaux and Oceana rotate the evenings they are open and there is no booking. Information on opening times/days is refreshed on the TV in the room daily so this is never a problem. The food is good everywhere but the menus are limited in what they offer and didn’t seem to change so got a little dull. A previous Dreams resort changed their menus daily across a week.
We spent our days next to the adult pool which was wonderfully calm and relaxing. The entertainment pool is more family orientated and therefore more lively so something for everyone.
I don’t think we’ve ever stayed in a resort where all of the staff were SO amazing and friendly. Major points to the management team. Big shoutouts go to Jessica at Manatees for keeping us hydrated during the day, and to Kenya the hostess at Portofino for plotting with the chef and wait staff to organise an amazing evening for our wedding anniversary. We were quite honestly treated like royalty, thank you.
The team at the Rendezvous bar did a fabulous job with our tequilacation, and we now know that there is more to this wonderful drink than slammers or salt and lime “training wheels” 😂

I stayed at Dreams Los Cobos Jul 3-8 and it was nothing short of amazing! The resort had just reopened due to Covid on Jul 1. The hotel staff have many procedures in place regarding social distancing, masks, etc. They sanitize you’re luggage upon arrival. From checking in to checking out, we felt like that in combination with our own precautions—we were in great hands.
The hotel was running like normal with some limitations, but it didn’t hamper the vibe. 3 restaurants and a cafe were open, and the food was amazing! I’d recommend the salmon from Seaside and the deep fried eggplant from Portofino. The French restaurant & wine cellar, Bordeaux was incredible. Before you enter any restaurant your temperature is taken and you’re given some hand sanitizer. All of the staff at the resort are very friendly, approachable and ready to help if you have any questions.
We participated in water aerobics, went to the gym, and used the swim up bar many times 😅We also were able to work out by the beach because my parter was teaching a Zoom class. We were happy to see that there was strong wifi available all throughout the resort 👏🏾
We also did 2 excursions, Jonathan and the guys were great at assisting and setting everything up.
The main pool was open and most ppl used that, I will comment that the chairs along the pool are spaced out for social distancing. And because they had just opened, there was PLENTY of space to do your thing, no waiting in line anywhere or waiting to get a chair or a table. It was probably the best time to vacation to be honest. Our room was beautiful, toiletries, remote control and the tablet (updated daily with resort activities and information) were all in tightly sealed bags when we arrived. Room service was great as well, it was avail 24/7.
I would definitely return and would recommend you check them out if you’re considering a vacation to Cabo!

I am going to get the negatives out of the way right off the bat. The Preferred Area and rooms are NOT adults only at this resort (only the Preferred pool is adults only - NOT the Preferred beach area which is just plain wrong in my opinion!). That is a BIG downside for my wife and I. The reason we pay for Preferred is to get away from noisy children and enjoy peace and quiet on the beach. If you are looking for the same, you will be very disappointed here and I recommend moving up to the Secrets or Breathless resorts. The staff is amazing and very attentive with the exception of two restaurants while we were there. The Seaside waiter was friendly enough, but I got the exact same thing my wife ordered (which is NOT what I asked for!). It was decent and I ate it without saying anything, but it was not the best experience. The Portofino restaurant was not busy at all, but it took us nearly 2 hours to complete a simple dinner. Once again, not great food but ok. Let's move on to the GOOD stuff! Oceana and Bordeaux were excellent and the staff was fantastic!! (Multiple visits for dinner!) Even El Patio, which is a Mexican buffet (for dinner only) had very good food and a GREAT staff!! Room service dining was VERY good quality with fast, friendly service!! The waves at this resort year around do not allow for beach swimming but the pools are top notch and the beach view is phenomenal with daily whale and/or dolphin sightings. For those who must have the ocean swimming experience they offer day trips to the other side of the peninsula for swimming and snorkeling at a very minimum cost to guests. If getting in the ocean is a low priority for you and dealing with noisy children while trying to sleep/relax doesn't bother you, I highly recommend this resort!!

We had a vacation planned prior to Covid and decided to keep our reservations and go to Dreams Los Cabos. Let me just say that they have taken every precaution possible to ensure that everything is sanitized and guests feel safe. To our dismay few guests wore masks, which was nerve racking but since we were mostly outside we felt okay. I will commend the staff as ALL staff members wore mask and those serving food wore masks and sheilds.
Jaciel at the preffered lounge was a top notch bartender and made delicious drinks and gave great recommendations (bloody Cesar is phenomenal). Pablo and Carlos refilled our room daily and made our stay extra special with their customized attention. Octavio was a great poolside waiter and did a great job hustling even when extremely busy and what seemed like working alone. Also a big thank you to Isaac who was our waiter at the Bordeaux as we trusted him to order for us and he really came through. Lastly, Angel (Miguel Angel) is a wonderful leader and treated us like royalty. He gave personalized attention and made us feel like family. Muchas gracias a todos, nos vemos en junio de 2021!

Had a great stay at Dreams Los Cabo. It was the second stay at a Dreams Resort (first one being in Cancun at Playa Mujeres).
The room was very spacious (we had a suite) and the mini bar was restocked daily, so we always had water and snacks in the room. The food was really good with a variety of restaurants. Also plenty of options, like the cafe, to get snacks throughout the day.
Gabriel Quirzo at the Preferred Club section on the beach also took great care of us. He was the friendliest of the staff on the beach. He made sure we always had drinks and snacks, and brought us food from the grill when requested. When we saw him in the evenings if he took a shift at the lobby bar, he'd always make sure we were being well taken care of there too.
We spent quite a bit of time on the beach, where you can see some nice sunsets.
Although it was an additional charge, we took advantage of trying a couple Mexican wines at Portofino (the Italian restaurant) the resort had, which were quite good.
I would definitely recommend this resort and would go back, especially given the quality of service and amenities.

This all inclusive resort had a “breakfast plan” that I purchased. The majority of management treated us we were criminals. Was made to sign a contract that we would wear wrist bands while on the resort and that if we lost the bands we would have to pay $100. They did not say that the wrist bands had to be turned in when we checked out, but upon check out was asked to return the wrist bands or pay $100. Greedy, make it make sense. I had to go dig mine out of trash in the room. We were there with friends that were all inclusive, and we were stalked and watched every time we were anywhere to ensure our friends didn’t give us any free drinks. My wrist band broke, I didn’t wear it to pool, and I was escorted away to get a new band. Very embarrassing and highly unnecessary. I noticed everywhere I went on the resort, walkie talkies came out and managers swarmed. I didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable anywhere even when wearing their wrist band, that felt like a Scarlett letter. Went to lunch one day, sat 20 minutes with no silverware or water. Another group was seated after us, got silverware, water, and their food before us. Food was not great, it was much better off the resort. Food prices were cheap enough, but I’d expect better food. Housekeeping took our robes and we never got new ones even though we asked. TV didn’t work sometimes. Resort needs an upgrade. The age is showing. Entertainment was weak. Our bags were held hostage at check out, I guess to make sure we paid out lil $70 tab from the drinks and food ordered during our stay. The good service of many workers was overshadowed by the rude managers and constant monitoring, again I felt very unwelcome and very uncomfortable. I will not be back and would not recommend. Much better resorts with similar cost elsewhere. I did get to see a sea turtle lay eggs, and I had a great view of ocean.

It had been almost 15 years since I'd been back to Dreams Los Cabo and the facility did not disappoint!
Immediately after arriving, the staff provided me and my girlfriend with great courtesy, which continued throughout the seven days we stayed at the property. Whether at the pool, the front desk or at the restaurants, all of the employees were genuinely concerned that our stay was an excellent one. In particular, the waiters Jose and Jonpol at Portofino and Roberto at World Cafe provided such exceptional service that I felt it important to mention them here.
Also worth noting is the food at the restaurants could rival many of the restaurants in my home town of San Diego. Chef Irineo made among the best Italian food I'd ever had... al dente with incredible flavors!
We also felt the accommodations were nicely maintained and matched the photos we saw on their website. They were clean and very important, all staff strictly adhered to Covid safety protocols of masks and cleanliness. The only downside was that although strongly recommended, most guests did not wear masks... we did.
I should mention too to beware of the scrupulous tactics used by representatives of GlobeQuest Travel Club, should you be convinced to "hear a presentation" on a time share or in my case, an upgrade. I was misled to believe it was only to update my information, but the strategy was actually to sell me another "program," (which began at $29K, "reduced" to $19K, then $14K and finally $7K). Ultimately, once they saw they were not going to sell me their product, their previously upbeat and friendly attitude turned to ushering us out and not even thanking us for our time.
The above experience, however, was just a blip in the week and I am looking forward to going back. It definitely won't be 15 years! Great place to go!

To preface this review, this was my first time visiting Cabo, and my partner's third time. Jointly, it was our first time staying at this resort. Upon arrival, they took every precaution to ensure things were sanitized. Our temperatures were checked, our shoes were sanitized before entering the property, along with our luggage being sanitized and hotel staff were required to wear mask at all times.
Items in the room were also sanitized, all the way down to the remote control!
The views were stunning, our room was beautiful and the service was excellent. I have to say that the food was so amazing and I often heard comments from my other half that it was the best food he'd had at any resort in Cabo thus far.
We quickly made friends with some of the staff and really wanted to write this review solely to share how much we loved them!
Jasiel - our lovely bartender in the Preferred lounge was amazing! We felt like we were family by the end of our stay. He provided excellent service and also served as the bartender and DJ for the discotheque. We were always excited to see him and he gave us awesome recommendations on alcohol. We adored him and would make a trip back just to see him again!
Ramon Garcia - our awesome bartender at the Preferred bar oceanside. Ramon provided spectacular service to us as we lounged by the ocean. He was always so timely, and memorized our food and drink order by the second time we saw him! He was always such a joy to see, always smiling through the mask and took such good care of us.
Salomon - provided room service to us at our arrival and was also the one to bring our surprise bottle of champagne and strawberries, which was a lovely gift from the hotel. We weren't able to see him much during our stay but was so excited when he returned to our room with this special delivery at the end of our trip. He was very kind.
Also, the front desk staff was amazing especially (I'm going to butcher this) Jediel!? He attended to us upon arrival, answered all questions throughout our time at the facility and was extremely professional.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the team at Dreams Los Cabos Resort!

I went from Oct 17th through the 24th to exchange vows with my wife in front of our closest friends and family and we LOVED every second of our trip!
The resort it taking great measures to protect against COVID and you feel safe. They individually package room items such as your remote and toiletries so you know they were attended to before you use them. Employees must wear masks but guests aren't required to (can if you want). They were at 40/50% capacity and it was just the right amount of guests to enjoy the company of other travelers, but also enjoy your vacation as well. Note, the only "issue" we experienced was if you tried to go to dinner during prime times with larger groups (I'd say 7 or more) you did experience a good amount of waiting (both to sit and get meal items). No fault to the staff, they were amazing and doing all they could, but just a need to add a few more employees. Something we expected and really didn't bother us much, but be prepared if you're going during COVID with a large group. (Tables of 4, always had a quicker experience). But again, every employee there was amazing and trying to make your stay special.
The best part?!? Our wedding coordinator, Yazmin. From day one months ago when we started planning she was incredible. Quick responses, thorough answers and you could tell she cared. Took time to meet with us a few times before the big day while we were at the resort just to make sure we had no questions. The big day she was there before 8am and with us all throughout the night. Watching it all and making sure our wedding day was nothing short of perfect. The wedding staff was equally as amazing. Great service! The food was out of this world. The decor was perfect and our photographers were all over the place ensuring to capture every moment from every angle. Cake was delicious, and the DJ had us dancing the night away.
