Great facility and view. Relaxing yet entertaining with all the activities the crew put together. Casino night and trivia was so much fun!! Food on the other hand could use some improvement. Recommend the sit down table at Sakke and get your drinks at the bar!
Marquis completely exceeded our expectations. Normally I am critical of something at our vacations. I have been travelling to Mexican resorts for over 30 years. This was by far the best vacation I have ever had. The service was outstanding. The drinks were top shelf. The food was awesome, not typical all inclusive food. The resort was exceptionally clean and very well designed. Lots of great activities all day. Loved the entertainment at night. Make sure you check the website for daily activities. Always plenty of chairs at the pool. Viri the activity director was fun and engaging. The infinity edge pool was very well designed. We need to send Americans to this resort to learn customer service and work ethic.
The Good: Food options and allergy/sensitivity concerns were outstanding, access to food and drinks was always good All the food was great, least favorite was the sushi, but we are just snobs. The steak at all the functions was phenomenal. Great view Stand out service from the server Ignacio, Cesar and (I forgot her name!) from the sports/activities team. The drink puree bases are stellar The Bad: Our room was very humid and musty, the mirrors and floor stayed fogged up, the shower head was really harsh and water made it out of the shower into the toilet area. When I got home I had to wash everything to get the smell out. Many of the water features were turned off or in disrepair The drinks are weak, always order an add shot on the side, unless you want to stay sober which worked for me. The sheets smelled like vinegar Room service was inconsistent about restocking the coffee/snacks in the room, the snacks are not fancy, but they were really good. At $500 a night I just don't think I would return, seems like that's what these things go for though. I just expect the room to be in better shape and more comfortable in that price range. …
Absolutely amazed by this resort. The staff was incredible - Adriana, Jaime, and Sergio knew me by name and room almost immediately. Above and beyond service. The food was excellent along with the room accommodations. EVERYTIME I went back to my room my bed had been remade and cleaned up. They had top shelf alcohol, fresh tortillas and salsas, fantastic fantastic food. I would absolutely come back here again. I came with a large group of friends and we all had a blast. A couple of them had casitas and it was perfect for meeting up, playing games, and just hanging out when it got to hot by the pool. They keep you fridge very well stocked with food, drinks, water, and beer. The room service was a tick slow but very good! The entertainment was fun and it felt as if there was live music everywhere you went.…
The workers are very communicative, the service and all the activities are very interesting to try and play with everyone. Angle, Johnny, Jose, Galy, Caesar, Fernando are all very nice and wonderful people.
This resort is amazing. The staff is great and being returning guests over the last 4 years they remember you and treat you like family!! In particular Rodolfo on arrival and Adriana every morning for breakfast were great to us!!! There are many different food and drink choices available , along with activities through out the day!!!!
We had a great time! Beautiful resort and amazingly friendly people! Food was good and plentiful! Pool is just beautiful with an exquisite view of the ocean waves. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. We will be back soon!
Oh My GOSH, another beyond wonderful trip to Marquis completed and 2 future stays already planned out. Marquis los Cabos is such a wonderful experience! This arrival began with a warm and cheerful greeting by Rodolfo followed by Fernando Herrera checking us in and going over the hotel layout and explaining the APP. Liliana(just as pretty as the flowers), came over and welcomed us back to the hotel and had helped organize a gorgeous and oh so fragrant bouquet of stargazer lilies in our room. The food has improved since our last visit. New Chef, Claudio Hotter, has made some great modifications to the menu at Pergola and the changes seem to be executed flawlessly. Favorite changes were to the cut on the filet, it is now thicker enabling it to be cooked a perfect med rare. The other noticeable improvement was the sauce on the fettucine was very creamy and unbroken. I can’t wait to try more dishes in August!! While dining at Pergola we noticed the 2 Captains were extremely attentive to each table. They were, German, who did an amazing job settling a VERY finicky and OVEREXPECTANT large group. Carlos, went out of his way to ensure we had the perfect dessert. Our server, Gerardo was so cool, professional and he has the goal to be a professional sommelier. With his charisma I feel he will have so much fun at that position. Sakke restaurant I always enjoy the hibachi menu and this time my wife and tried some of the new dishes while sitting outside on the patio. Very flavorful menu, great band playing on Sunday nights and as usual, Mario helps make the night fun and provides top notch service. Pool service and lunches at Dos Mares are excellent. The pool service for food and drink is top notch and NONSTOP!!! Do not try to get a drink each time they check on you or you’ll be hammered. I was lucky enough to have had awesome service from Arturo, Jose, and Salvador. I feel the service at all the restaurants, private dinners and pool service is so good because of 2 people. Sal had the vision of how great “Suzie” could and would be as a leader and I think she has out performed his expectations,….which are pretty high. They are a great team that have trained phenomenal people to be incredible staff!!! I have been to several other Cabo hotels as well as other destinations and my wife and I always agree that Marquis has the BEST Staff and a lot of that is due to training by the supervisors. Each day, before heading to the pool or out for an adventure, I find it imperative to go the restaurant, Vista Bellenas, for breakfast as no day is complete without Adriana greeting you in the morning. She is surely the happiest person you may ever meet. Tania is our favorite server and Osmar was also very attentive. I feel horrible as a newer gentleman was really quite impressive and I do not have his name in my notes!! Ugh, he was a helper to the wait staff and was so good!!! Some new faces for the entertainment staff are really fun and made a huge positive impression on my wife and I. “V” or Viridiana has an amazing personality, is quite the cornhole player and what I liked the most was she brought games( like connect four) to patrons on their loungers and played with them,….she was not pushy and the guests appeared to really enjoy the interaction,…I sure did!! The other fresh new face is Cesar. He met us on day 1 and day 2 we had the most fun interaction with him hosting a version of the Newlywed Game for my wife and I. Marquis calls the game Perfect Couple. We had never experienced anything like that before and it is something we will forever remember. Thank you Cesar!! Jonny is rocking out the tunes and hit our heart when he played a song that had recently become special to my wife, Happy Place by Saint PHNX. Thank you Jonny for helping make Marquis los Cabos our Happy Place!! Christian is the most fun to play volleyball with or against as he is one of the most athletic and crazy guys you’ll meet. Fernando runs the entertainment department and has made some great improvements to the nightly entertainment and his wonderful staff. If you’re looking to be a guest at Marquis los Cabos you won’t be disappointed. I love this hotel for it’s non stop cleaning and maintenance, stunning views(best pool views in all of Cabo) good food and impeccable service. I read reviews that are negative and most complain about no swim up bar but at Marquis they provide exceptional and non stop pool side food and drink service. Next biggest complaint is no swimming in the ocean. Throughout Cabo there is a rip current creating a huge safety risk. It is not just Marquis that discourages you from dying on your vacation it is all the hotels. If going in the stunning ocean is a must there is a great cove just shy of a 15 minute slow walk up the beach. 19 stays and more planned trips planned to Marquis los Cabos,…this is a phenomenal hotel to stay, relax, play, eat and drink all while watching the waves crash 100’ away from your poolside lounge chair,….rough stay 😊.…
This place was amazing! Great food, and the staff was great overall. Can’t beat the location, and the facility was top notch. And that view! Didn’t even need to leave the resort, we had such a great time and didn’t run out of things to do.
My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Marquis Los Cabos. It certainly lived up to the billing. The amenities, service, decor, location, hospitality and so on, were all great! The food and drink were incredible at all the restaurants too. We were able to see four of the nightly shows, and we were blown away by three of them. In addition to enjoying the resort, they also helped handle all our excursions. It was so much easier to go through them, than trying to figure out which services were reputable or not. Finally, kudos to all the staff. They were friendly, efficient, and took their jobs seriously! Deserved every last dollar they were tipped. We look forward to next time! PS. not having any kids around this adult only resort was also awesome!
