There are things to like about the Senor Manana, it’s bohemian vibe and great location. But if you need to talk to the owners about something, they’re not likely to absorb it, and will simply become belligerent.
I loved artistic vibe and family feel of this place. The owners and the other guests were super cool. I immediately felt very comfortable there. The room was clean and everything worked fine. There are neat little walkways amongst trees between different palapa treehouse type zones where I would sit and work on the computer with the provided wifi. The common kitchen area was very useful !
This place is magical. The entire community yard is colorful and engrossed in trees and plants. Cynthia, the owner, is a very talented artist and extremely kind. Both her and her husband are accomodating and always trying to make your stay more comfortable. They have a small menu of food that is very affordable and highly delicious. They also will make you delicious coffee or smoothies while you sit in their slice of paradise. The location was in old San Jose near the centre plaza, which I preffered opposed to large resorts where you don't leave the hotel. I had a large room with multiple beds, all clean. The price of the food, drinks, and lodging was very affordable (speaking as a 22 yr old hot out of school with no money). I also got to know the owners, as you will, and they are people I would undoubdetly support. They are a family operation that cares. If I ever return to San Jose Cabo, I know where I'll be staying.…
If you can forget about luxuries and just enjoy the place which is a stone throw from the central square, this is your place. Owners are extremely helpful and even looked quite unhappy when we told them that we are not looking for anything in particular in surrounding areas and they were not able to help us then. We had to leave at about 5:40 AM and they were up there to help us out even at that time. Their place really is charming and if you want to enjoy real Cabo, I can not recommend it more. If you chose them, please note that the place is a hostel-like establishment with a good common kitchen, rooms in our opinion are somehow dated a dark, but perfectly clean. Unfortunately, there is a street busy with cars on the backside and we had the room positioned in that part of the house, traffic noise was annoying up to 11PM and still somehow present even at 1 AM. Apart from that I would say the place is a lovely one.…
You do have to park on a busy road. Expect some street noise. We had a hard time finding the door to get in, it doesn't look like a a door, more like a gate. There are walls all around a courtyard which makes it nice inside with trees and plants. The breakfast was good. The location is very close to the large Plaza and we liked that. The hosts are very nice. If only the bed had a memory foam topper I would have been very comfortable but no, it was very hard. This place is very cheap so if price is your main concern it's a good deal.
