We had a huge space- a master suite with a full kitchen, living room area, 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi connected to a nice size room that had its own jacuzzi and small kitchen area. Everything was in good working order and each space had a balcony overlooking the sea. There were wh

Great location, and a spacious well-appointed resort. Felt that those who took the all-inclusive option were preferred customers.Customer service was poor, especially on check-in, and when trying to get onformation from the front desk/concierge, WHEN the phone was answered.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
Had a good visit, but the wear is starting to show and the service is starting to slip. Our rooms, 5356-5357, in the El Encantato building, overlooked two noisy construction projects. I asked to switch rooms and was told by the front desk they would call me back with options. N

Is the pool heated
No need really. We went in the summer the air temperature was very warm so water felt cool but we adapted to it and stayed in the water for hours!! Enjoy!!

Is it worth bringing my snorkeling equipment. Is there anywhere I can snorkel directly off a beach?
Nope, beach is ricky and dangerous yo swim off of. You can walk a bit but definitely no swimming....off sea of cortez some folks gish off the beach but no snorkeling or diving jowevery there's a beach about 4 miles down that has great snorkeling but gets quite busy so you have to go early its become rather touristy lots of snorkeling trips use ecat.

How does the all inclusive package work at this resort? Do they have the traditional "bracelet" in order to let staff know you are part of the all inclusive? 2nd question when going to the Marina to eat is it necessary to make reservations? Thank you
Yes you do get bracelets & no reservations needed at marina restaurants. The Baja Lobster Restaurant was fantastic off marina with good drinks & food. Just showed our bands. They are right on the marina. You do sign & get receipts, but no worries included with package & tipping cash is a good thing for the wonderful servers!

Plan on going over Christmas with our 2 daughters (20 & 22 yrs). I heard read that all restaurants and bars close at 10:00 pm is this true? Not looking to "party" but it's nice to sit around with a cocktail later into the evening. What time is the last shuttle in the evening? Have always gone All inclusive, but, I am clueless as to the receipt signing - any light that anyone can shed on this practice is appreciated. Thank you
No worries with signing, its still very well worth all inclusive, they do close most pool & bar areas early. one on the top of hill by italian restaurant stayed open later. Plus they put several beers in your frig a day, so we could walk, sit on patio & still have a beer in the later evening. The last shuttle is around 10ish . you could take your adult children to the marina(sister hotel area) & have a great time. Nice fun restaurants included there, just sign for. Cash tipping is good (you get alot more for)
