My wife and I came for our honeymoon and had such a great time. We spent most of our time down at the adult’s pool and bar at El Patio and had zero complaints. Andres and Gustavo were our servers for the trip and they made it so fun! Their jokes, dance moves, and special cocktails made it a constant party. Can’t wait to come back and see them again!

Everything was wonderful. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Lizbeth and Jennifer, at the front desk, were the best. They really took care of everything. The cart drivers Erick and Daniel were always a joy. Jamie, Isaac and Estella were so amazing at Las Marias. The food was delicious in all restaurants. I know I will desire the food when I leave. I will be back for sure. Until next time!

Was a struggle from check in to check out. Check in took over an hour. They had problems with their credit card processing system resulting in multiple charges. While they reversed the erroneous charges, I still incurred multiple bank charges for international transactions that were never refunded. Had to return to the main office multiple times to resolve billing issues. Spent over 8 hours sitting in front check in area while they struggled to get things setup. Had multiple days where basic room supplies were not replaced in guest bathrooms (no toilet paper, no towels) resulting in me having to barter with other guests to trade for toilet paper and take towels from pool for showers. Calls to front desk, concierge, and house keeping were never answered. Had to go to front desk multiple times to resolve any and all issues. In summary, the entire visit was a struggle with the resort.

This review is long, but a quick summary- Money spends everywhere, I wouldn’t recommend spending your money at Hacienda Encantada. I’m just a happy traveler, who was hoping for a chill Mexican getaway. This place quickly killed both the happy and the chill. For reference: 5 days stay with all inclusive. ROOM:From the beginning, there were major issues. Wrong room, no view, wrong bed and service to address these issues were HORRIFIC! I should have known when other folks in the lobby looks irritated and said they were waiting almost 2 hours to check in, but I held out hope. Shame on me. Manuel, Renato and April (reservations) demonstrated poor customer service, the worst I’ve seen at an all inclusive resort. And the lies. The lies. Everyone has to call someone else, you have to wait 30 minutes for an answer, 45 minutes later, nothing can be done, but check tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and many more lies and delays. Think used car sales lot… that’s the kind of lies you get at Hacienda Encantada. We started playing a game where we predicted the lie we would be told… again, trying to make some fun out of a terrible situation. No one knows who is in charge, we were told everyday the manager was on vacation, but no return date. This is a poorly run hotel and it’s unfortunate. Even the bellhop, Daniel lied about how he can support while simultaneously acknowledging our experience was BS. I’d rather you just say “out of my hands.” While the room was not the correct one, it was air conditioned, which after hearing from others, this was a win. SERVICE: TERRIBLE. I’ve seen preschoolers get their lunch in a much more orderly fashion than service at this hotel. The exception being the breakfast buffet, Maria’s (see the great below). Everything takes a super long time. Every drink, every meal, every request, every ride, everything. I felt like I spent more time waiting then relaxing and enjoying. The complete opposite of vacation. Even with all inclusive plan, you have to sign for everything. TIP: couple at check out we’re dealing with fraudulent charges to their room- make sure to sign every copy and zero out the gratuity if you’re not leaving a credit card tip. Pre COVID, I regularly escaped to all inclusive hotels, and this one has been the worst in service and organization. FOOD: Decent. Nothing memorable, but nothing killed us. The breakfast buffet is good. Il Forno has a good spaghetti Alfredo and chicken parm. DRINKS: Decent again, nothing memorable. THE GREAT: Estella at Maria’s breakfast! Sweet, kind, pleasant to talk to and hard working. She made mornings a treat for us. Thank you Estela! And thank you Johany for being sweet and helpful! Ameliana was very helpful in locating towels for us when everyone else we asked just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. REAL TALK: We met others who were having a great time and others who were experiencing the same terrible as us, and it truly seems like a toss up depending on when you arrive, who helps you ( or doesn’t) and sheer luck. Again… there are many many amazing resorts in Cabo, Mexico and the world, I wouldn’t recommend Hacienda Encantada to anyone. You’re paying money for an experience not a gamble. I’m always considering a timeshare, and this place turned me completely off to the sister brand for timeshares. Happy travels!
