I accept there was nothing the hotel could do about receiving 20 inches of rain during our stay. I accept that I had to carry buckets of water from the pool to flush my toilet and most likely ate food from service people who hadn't washed their hands for days. I even accept that the the AC was out for...

This was the very best holiday place to stay ever! We loved the variey of the fresh food. It was all good. The rooms were spectacular including an all inclusive wet bar in the room. The view of Land's End was perfect and the close distance to take the little boat there was perfect and we had an enjoyable afternoon...

This hotel had too many quirks that after three days of being there, we were ready to leave. We arrived the first day at 6pm, quickly changed into our suits, and headed down to the pool for the last few hours of sunlight. But, towel stands close at 6pm, so you can't get a towel. Keep that in mind if...

We went to the Riu Palace in May and had read all the mixed reviews prior to going and were a bit scared to book but I am very glad that we did! We were there for 5 nights and had fun every minute. We booked using Alaska Vacations and when we got there we upgraded at the hotel for...

Just returned from a week at the Riu Palace and must admit, I'm disappointed. If you're a NASCAR fan or a member of an East-LA gang, then you might find the Labor Day weekend your speed. The swim-up bars were enjoyable until about mid-afternoon, when the hangover crowd invaded and boorish bubba-gumps or obese rapper-wannabes fueled on liquid courage alienated...

I stayed at Riu Palace August 25th for 1 week. I came after the big storm chaos and honestly you couldn't tell a storm had hit, they had cleaned everything up. We did have a thunderstorm the 3rd day I was there and the resort did leak in numerous areas, including many of the rooms. My room on the 4th...

We were at the RIu from Aug 13 - 16 (we were scheduled until Aug 18 except due to floods and no running water we left early). We left with agreement by Riu management that they would compensate us for the nights lost. They told us to contest through Expedia. After several emails and phone calls we are still waiting...

We went to Riu to meet with the wedding coordinator and see the property to see if this was the place for us to get married next year. It's not. Upon arriving at the security gate, we were harrassed and told they'd never heard of the person we were scheduled to meet with. After showing the email with the hotel...
