The Grand Solmar is the new standard of luxury in Cabo San Lucas. Thoughtfulness and thoroughness are the trademarks of this grand resort. Every detail was considered right down to the intricate designs in the walkways, the stone entries to the rooms and the construction of subterranean passages so the busy staff does not interrupt relaxing guests. The award-winning design combines the grace of old world architecture with carefully crafted modern style. And the location will leave you speechless. A natural cliff forms the backdrop and guides guests to a lobby complete with a spectacular view of the mighty Pacific Ocean. From here, you can see pelicans soaring over golden sands and sailboats scooting across blue waves. Just feet away is the very tip of the Baja Peninsula in all its sun-drenched glory.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Nestled in a prime location, Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa captivates guests with its scenic beauty and proximity to attractions. While the vibrant atmosphere, complete with live music and events, earns high marks from visitors, some guests feel that the resort's value is diminished by overpriced services. The luxurious amenities, including the pools and spa, generally receive applause, yet there are mentions of possible enhancements.
Although service is often lauded for being attentive, incidents of inconsistency are noted. Rooms are celebrated for their spaciousness and views, yet concerns over maintenance have been raised. The resort's commitment to cleanliness, however, is widely acknowledged and praised.

We are seasoned visitors to Cabo San Lucas, but consistently return to Grand Solmar Lands End. The staff and the facility continue to maintain an excellent property with attention to detail and the personal interactions of those who help maintain that atmosphere. Its location is geographically unique, with a ubiquitous boisterous surf in the background at all times. The isolation comes with security and an assurance of a quaint, quiet tranquility, often difficult to achieve in this world. For example at many facilities we visit there is a problem with saving chairs and not utilizing them. Their new 10 minute occupancy policy, eliminates this and has immediately made the pool access to seating much more accommodating and enjoyable. You don’t have guests squandering chairs, leaving them unattended for the entire day where other people would like to use them. The cuisine is excellent, the grounds are immaculate. Yet most importantly, the staff is exceptional. It starts with Manny who greet you gregariously at the front along with Joel and Roberto and continues through welcome drinks at reception on to the pool deck with Francisco making sure that you’re comfortable and your drinks are always available. Bravo guys keep it up!

My husband and I just got home from a week at this beautiful resort. We truly believe it was the most beautiful place we have ever been. Every detail of the resort is well thought out and incredibly well taken care of. The night time lighting of the resort is stunning, the flow of indoor and outdoor spaces is beautiful, the meandering stone paths are incredibly charming, and they even rake all of the sand as if it was a zen garden. We stayed in a master suite and we found the room perfect. Everything was very comfortable, in great condition, and beautiful. The housekeeping service we received each day was impeccable and incredibly detail oriented. Our balcony was our favourite part of our room, we sat there ever night and listened to the sound of the crashing waves. Every single pool in the resort is lovely and sparkling clean. The staff at this resort are so hard working, and they are who make the resort so beautiful each day. At around 6am you could see the staff starting their days and they meticulously make sure any sand on the paths is swept back, and every thing was cleaned! Even the lanterns on the ground. We really liked the food on the resort, everything we had was great! We used the meal plan, if you plan on using the meal plan definitely call the resort to book it as it was a cheaper price than online. Our favourite places were La Roca for breakfast, the sushi lounge for anytime, and the sports bar patio for nighttime. The staff is warm and friendly and is always proactively thinking of ideas for how they can make your experience even better. All in all the sushi lounge was our favourite place, the view is beautiful, the vibe is great, the food is fresh and perfect every time (they also have great vegetarian options), and they have an amazing mixology menu. Our favourites from the restaurant were the: chicken satay, pork belly, mushroom roll, special shrimp roll, and vegetarian roll. Our favourite drink there were the VIP, it was incredible! On our last night we ate our supper there, they surprised us with a special dessert to celebrate our honeymoon and then also made me a special vegetarian meal off the menu. We also loved the coffee shop, they made a great soy latte! The location of the resort is great, it feels secluded and quiet but is only a very short taxi ride to the marina area. We had the most amazing vacation here and we can’t wait to go back! I wanted to say a very special thank you to all of the staff we encountered but in particular: Alexis, Tomas, and Javier from the Sushi Lounge, and Jose, Oscar, and Irving from La Roca. If you are able to go to this resort do it! It’s incredible!

Beautiful resort with gorgeous views. Manny and the rest of the staff out front were so welcoming and helpful with transportation. We stayed in a master bedroom suite, and it was spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable. The housekeeping staff paid attention to details and would do small things that gave our stay a personal touch. We reserved a cabana and the pool butler Juan and server Francisco were WONDERFUL. They were so attentive, and we could not have asked for better service. (order the shrimp tacos pool side...yum) Breakfast at Las Rocas with "Fast" Freddy was one of our favorite things. Alex with the welcome margaritas and at the sports bar was also great. On Brazilian churrascaria night they had a live entertainer, Dany, who was singing many different genres soooo beautifully. She kept us going all night! Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would return in a heartbeat!

I’ve been coming to Grand Solmar since 2012 and made a wise decision to purchase at both Grand Solmar (Studio) and Solmar Pacific Dunes (aka Rancho San Lucas) a Master Suite. Both properties are first class on all levels, from the initial pre welcome call from Patricia who went beyond and secured us a transportation when flights were changed. Once arriving the initial welcome from Manny and his staff makes you feel so relaxed and excited about starting your vacation/ getaway. At check in, David was especially welcoming and helpful in getting us a wonderful room. Both properties have impeccable upkeep of the grounds. The professional and courteous mannerisms from ALL the staff makes you feel welcomed and special. The room accommodations are better than 5 Star. The housekeeping staff always leaves the room spotless. All the dinning options available make it hard to leave the property and explore outside restaurants. This visit we dined at the Asian restaurant for the first time at Grand Solmar and what a delightful experience, Fernando was so attentive to make sure we were satisfied. Sports Bar, a beautiful place to have a cocktail and watch the sunset, with Alex the waiter. He has been with working at Grand Solmar for 8 years and you can tell how much he enjoys his job by the service he provides. Juan and Domingo excellent job of securing you the perfect Cabana and hand deliver awesome juicy fresh fruit. Best way to end the perfect visit is ocean front dinning at La Roca. Restaurant Michelin quality, and service by, Abdiel spot on. Don’t hesitate, make your next stay at Grand Solmar, you will be completely amazed and happy you did.

The resort is still as beautiful as ever and the service workers are as attentive as they can be. BUT, under new management the level of service has dropped considerably. For example, one of the pool concierge men left a few months ago and has not been replaced. That leaves one rockstar Superman named Juan to do the work of two. There are 16 cabanas at 5 pools and Juan covers ALL of them alone. Somehow he still gets it done but it’s obviously high stress and so much work. Today at the sunset pool there are 45 guests and one server - the wait is very long to give a food or drink order and then receive it. Then you’re pestered by so many flies while your plates wait and wait to be picked up. Juan the concierge is helping out the server by clearing plates. One server for 45 is not enough - there used to be 2-3. Breakfast at La Roca this morning also took too long. Despite a reservation our table was not ready for 15 minutes, snd service was slowwww. The servers work hard but there aren’t enough of them. Yogurt and fruit for breakfast shouldn’t take an hour. Management needs to go back to the Sr Paco model of more service to the guest and less on nickle and dining guests.

I cannot say enough good things about this resort. We stayed for 5 nights in December and had the most amazing stay. This resort has probably THE BEST LOCATION in Cabo . The resort is absolutely stunning, impeccably clean and the poolside views are breathtaking. It is very evident how much care goes into the maintenance of the property as the grounds are very well maintained. We stayed in a gorgeous Grand Studio, which was incredibly spacious, well decorated, very clean, and had the most incredible ocean views. We purchased the meal plan and were very glad we did - we ate at all the on-site restaurants and the food and drinks were delicious at every meal. However, what impressed us most was the staff -they were very courteous and attentive. The resort is within walking distance (approx 10 min) to the marina for excursions, and a little further into down Cabo for local meals and shops (past the tourist traps in the marina area). I would absolutely stay here again when in Cabo.

Grand Solmar Grand Solmar Land’s End is the most relaxing place we have stayed in years. We spent three weeks this month and one week each other month this year. There is no place comparable for the money to have everything to the last detail taken care of for you. It’s meticulously cleaned and in a fantastic location to watch the waves or walk to the marina and we love the continuity of the employees. They remember their guests and make you feel as if their job is to make your visit relaxing. Manny and Roberto are there when you arrive. Say hello to them as they are both family guys with young children. They will make sure your luggage is delivered to your suite and can answer any questions or direct you to a person who can. They will call a taxi and discuss your destination if you have questions because they pretty much know everything about the area. Then have breakfast at the Deli with Julian he is quiet but efficient and Bernarda (Bernie) makes the best cappuccino on the property and sweet Fabiola has the best smile so it’s a great breakfast spot. All the staff are energetic and attentive and they seem to anticipate guests’ needs so no one is inconvenienced if they can help it. The managers we have met will go out of their way to be accommodating and charmingly considerate. My sister had a hip replacement recently and manager Humberto moved us three times until we found the best place for her to be able to navigate the walk to the majority of restaurants. And speaking of the restaurants we found that all on the property serve diverse and flavorsome food. We love the Asian restaurant, fantastic sushi and nigiri. It was perfectly fresh from their fishing boat and Cristal made excellent recommendations or you can go for haute cuisine at La Roca (the Rock) where the highlight for us was often a tiny delectable amuse-bouche along with a magnificent view. Our other favorite choice if you want the best of the best whole grilled fish is Las Brisas. Speak to the manager Miguel and he may even put a table out on the sand to serve you along with the famous view. Thank you Yuni, Jonathan, Ana, Juan, Claudia, Juan Louis, Alejandro (long time no see!), and too many more to list oh and our favorite bartender Francisco (aka Panchito) who makes the best margaritas we have ever tasted!

Another great week at Lands End. We hosted 10 adult family members (cousins) to come and stay with us in (2) two bedroom penthouses. There was more than enough room for everyone. The expansive living room and balcony gave us plenty of spaces to gather as a family for meals or just enjoying each other while watching the beautiful ocean and sunsets. The ocean front location and close walking proximity to the marina and town gave everyone access to explore the wonderful food and activities Cabo has to offer.
Hosting that many people on site was like herding cats but Cabana managers Domingo and Juan treated us well. They were so attentive and helpful for our pool days with that many people, it made hosting so much easier. Thank you Domingo, Juan and server Martin for treating all our guests so well.
The resort is beautiful and the people that work really make the difference. I am amazed at how Manny and his team keep everything running so smoothly up front and somehow manage to remember me and my family when we come. Violeta and Liz greet us like we are coming into their home, our home. Domingo and Juan make our stay at the wonderful ocean side pools a special treat. I can not say enough that the people at Lands End are amazing.

I would not pick this place if you’re looking for service and an all inclusive package. Everything was so slow. There were a few staff members that tried their best but overall, the service, food and amenities were subpar. Even if you paid for the meal package at $139 per adult per day, there were still plenty of fees they charged you for such as daily coffee and water in your room. I would pick a nicer hotel that is closer to the airport and is an actual all inclusive.

This was my second visit to Grand Solmar Lands End and I can’t say enough good things about it. I become easily overstimulated and after one day down Médano beach I was even more appreciative of how protective Grand Solmar is of guests peace and quiet. Don’t get me wrong... there is much fun to be had onsite, but if someone is being an absolute d1ckhead, the staff has no problem stepping in and maintaining some equilibrium. And no heckling venders either.
I never had a problem getting a pool side chair with an umbrella and there are no bad views. The way the resort was created it really doesn’t matter where you are, you can almost always see the ocean where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. One morning while checking email, I happened to glance up from the screen to be greeted with the sight of breaching whales right off the beach in front of the resort.
Another highlight is the fun, albeit spicy when the tide is rough, hike to lovers/divorce beach. Being among the sea worn rocks, listening to the power of tides was an incredible experience for us.
As far as activities I want to highlight the wonderful singer on Mexican Heritage entertainment night. She was lovely and the music was absolutely joyful.
The last highlight if you have gotten this far is the couples massage. Splurge people. It’s worth it. I think it was called the Moonlight massage. We went to the far end of the resort where the spa is built into the cliff face and were treated to 80 minutes of deep tissue massage. Karen, my massage therapist found all of the nasty little knots in my jacked-up shoulder and made it her personal mission to work those out. My husband’s therapist Fue, was so thoughtful and did such an amazing job. We were both glowing afterwards, but that may have also been the delightfully light lunch they served with champagne as we sat feet from the crashing surf.
The only thing that would have made it better is if we could swim in the ocean, but we knew that going in and simply hung in the infinity pool right at the edge of the ocean, or walked down to the swimming beach.

The Marina and Marina Mall Supermarkets ARE walkable from the Grand Solmar LE resort. The Marina is perhaps a 1/4 mile walk to the wide paved promenade which goes around the entire Marina. A couple of supermarkets are at the Marina Mall area and you can UBER back or taxi back with your groceries.
