My husband and I stayed at the Mar De Cortez for four nights last week and really enjoyed it. It was a perfect location for exploring town. The breakfast was good and so was the bar service. The beds were very comfortable in my opinion. Great little place!

Yes, location is perfect with an easy walk to everything including all of the marina area. Room was a ground floor with small patio overlooking the pool area and backing up to the parking lot so it did not have any outside noise issues. Although not totally the fault of the hotel it did allow VERY LOUD partying at the...

Before I start; I just read a review that criticized the old towels, the dimly lit rooms, and other cosmetic issues. The only thing not mentioned was the people at the mar de cortez! It is not perfect. If you are looking for the Four Seasons, please go there. But if you are looking for people who go out of there...

This place was cheap at about $65/night. For that I was not expecting a fancy hotel, but at the very least a clean hotel with the basics. Especially considering the high praise and excellent reviews here and on other booking sites. The good: Excellent Location Nice Pool Cheap bar Mostly clean bedding Comfortable bed (although my wife would disagree) The...

I've been staying at the Mar de Cortez for over 20 years, first visiting in the 1990's and I have to say, gratefully, that things really haven't changed. Yes a new coat of paint was added a few years ago and really does make a difference but what really counts are the people you deal with year in and year...

We had a great stay at Mar De Cortez. This is a well kept older place with a very friendly and accommodating staff . No TV, no phone. The only thing we did not like was the bed. This is without question one of the hardest beds we have ever slept on. We went to Walmart bought a fome mattress...

Mar de Cortez is a small, independent Hotel in the heart of Cabo. It is basic, very clean, very safe and the staff is wonderful. No phones, no tv but yes, free wifi! Rooms all have balconies or patios; pool is great. Restaurant/bar has delicious food and 2 happy hours daily. All very reasonably priced. Walking distance to beach and...

Thank you for your inquiry. We are centrally located in downtown Cabo and yes, it is a safe area for you and your daughter. I, as a single woman, have been staying there for years and walk the whole Cabo area without a problem. We are about a 15-20 min walk to the main swimming beach in Cabo, Playa Medano. Or a short taxi ride. Re swim with the dolphins, yes, there are two facilities for that. I have done the one in San Jose del Cabo because it is an outside natural environment for the dolphins, as opposed to the tank environment in town. The girls at the front desk can connect you to either one. It's a fabulous experience. Thank you for your interest in Hotel Mar de Cortez.

If you want privacy upstairs with a balcony, book the Garden View room and request upstairs with balcony. Yes, an American breakfast is included when you book direct and not thru the various online sites. Beverages not included.

there was no hair dryer in our room; not sure if they are available. Their website shows two ways to contact them: Email: I can't post the email address, so look it up on their website or Telephone: 1-831-663-5803 or 1-800-347-8821 (toll free) Suggest you email or call ... front desk staff were quite helpful while we were there ....

Thank you for your inquiry. Please visit our website to see the difference in room types. The Standard rooms are all ground floor with a queen + twin (older section of the hotel) while the Terrace rooms are all 2nd level rooms, with a queen and a twin. The Standard rooms each have a small porch out front and the Terrace rooms each open up to a common terrace walkway with table and chairs overlooking the courtyard.
