Location of the resort is excellent with breathtaking 360 degrees view from the terrace. The rooms were ill maintained with paint chipping off at many places, dirty linens, unhygienic bathrooms and poor quality toiletries. Food was average and many items on the menu list including momos are not available. Even an intercom is not provided. All communications with the reception/ housekeeping has to be made by personally going to the reception.

I had a wonderful time in Cherry Resort on my solo trip in Nov 2021. Initially I thought I would book through MakeMyTrip but then while booking I saw it mentioned that they don't allow single guests or children. Only families and couples. I was a bit surprised. So I googled their hotel and called up the number from their own website. A very warm and friendly voice answered, in English. It was Mr. Norbu, the owner/manager. He let me know that they do allow single people and children and they were confused why MMT was putting up incorrect facts. On the phone with him I booked a super deluxe room for 3100/night which included breakfast. I think it was a discounted price. Let me tell you the views from the balcony were mind-blowing. Amazing landscape of Mt. Kanchenjunga with the tea garden. You can do photoshoots and reels - it was so good! The food was really nice as well. The staff were all super polite. Room was clean and tidy. I would definitely stay here again. Plus you can do entire sightseeing of the tea gardens from here, which covers a tea factory tour, tea tasting, ziplining, paragliding, mountain biking and more. All in all I can say that Temi Tea Garden is THE hidden gem of Sikkim and Cherry Resort is the crown on the head. Pro tip: Don't miss out on the breakfast in the morning from the rooftop cafe. Thank me later!

The rating for for wonderful service by pleasant staff, food, smiles, and great views. I’d give one star for the hotel. The room was very basic. No heat, and had to rent space heater! The bed had need for additional sheets under the blanket. Shower had inadequate hot water. Bathroom was woefully inadequate; with no space for hanging clothes or keeping toiletries. The view was terrific from the upgraded rooms. There’s a lot of potential, for future development, at it’s a stretch to call this hotel a resort!

I had booked the European Suite for my parents for 2 nights stay. My parents had a very very pleasant stay and Mr. Norbu from the resort was an amazing host. He was very professional and was always available for any questions my parents had. About the stay, my parents' room had a balcony with a direct view into the tea estate and a direct view of the mighty Kanchenjungha. The room service was awesome. It was overall a very good offbeat choice to stay and we'd love to go back to Temi and have a family vacation.

My wallet has been stolen from the drawer during cleaning. Rooms and not maintained. Be careful from the spider and insects roaming around them bed. Foods are very poor standard and service is too poor. Better to avoid this hotel.

Well when we booked this resort, we didn't knew it was run by Sikkim Government. We got what we expected. We knew what should we have expected from a resort located almost in the middle of Temi Tea Garden. We did book this resort to find some quality time to spend with family and friends and we did got it. The rooms does need some renovations, even the wooden floor and the door mats require some attention. But except that we didn't find anything to complain about. Thanks to the friendly-ness of the manager or the humbleness of the staffs, our vacation was just perfect. If you expect to get a 4 star reception please don't book as they are very short staff and will never be able to provide you the service you are looking for, but if you are expecting to spend some quality time friends and foes with some home style cooked food, with bonfire on the rooftop with a glass of rum to cut down the chillingness of the winter with no hustle and bustle and the unwanted honking sounds, then my friend this is the perfect destination to spend a couple of nights. For a day trip you can visit Ravangla or Pelling. The name of the resort CHERRY was due to the cherry blossom tress which they had, but we heard that those trees have been cut down. In my mind I did have a glimpse of a picture of a lane in Japan covered both sides by Cherry blossom trees. But alas that didn't happen. Hope we had visited earlier, it seems we were late by 3years to enjoy the pink welcome.

If u wanna stay within the tea garden, this is it. Large sized rooms. But with 3800 per night, they don't serve u complimentary breakfast nor even a bottle of water in the room. Everything is chargeable and that's even 30-40rs more than the normal restaurants. No proper maintenance is done.

If you visit this place, you will not be able to leave without staying a night here. We were booked (already paid) at a hotel in Namchi, but we decided to stay a night here. Location is as pretty as it can get and the views are amazing. Nothing much to do accept for tour of tea gardens. But then the views are so mesmerising that you don't need to do anything else. As for the property, there are some limitations as this is a government owned, privately run place. However the smiles, warmth and courtesies of Mr. Norbu ( Manager) and his small team compensate much more for these limitations. So go with low expectations and enjoy the local hospitality. You will return rejuvenated!

Visited Temi in Sikkim during November 2018. We stayed Cherry Resort in the midst of Temi Tea garden. Location wise it was awesome. The property is surrounded by lush green tea garden & it is such a soothing site be it at dawn or at twilight. One can have full view of Kanchendzonga from this resort if the weather is clear. It has an open terrace on the first floor which offers breathtaking views. Rows of Cherry blossom tees within the campus add to the beauty of the hotel. Staff: The staff are very courteous & prompt & always have a smiling face. Food: Food is quite tasty & price is also reasonable. On demand they serve food of local flavour. Rooms: Rooms are spacious & bathrooms are also large. But the only shortcoming of this hotel is that it needs maintenance, be it the building or rooms.
