We just returned from a trip into the back country of Sierra de San Francisco, arranged by Terry and Gary. It was indeed the adventure of a life time. In the past four years, due to our permanent move to La Paz, we have traveled Highway 1 close to 20 times. We have stayed at many different establishments along the...

This review is in response to the review titled "greedy people suck" Feb. 13, 2013 by Anne C. Guadalupe, Ca. First of all I congratulate you for finding a super clean room with WiFi for 200 pesos per night. $16 USD is a bargain. You stated you wound up in San Ignacio low on cash and there is no bank...

Yes, the price is close to double the usual norm for Mexican lodgings (around $100 versus $50 or so), but the yurts are quite charming and appropriate in their location in the middle of a date palm oasis. Breakfast was great, featuring Gary's home-made sausages and hams, along with all the trimmings. To be sure, the breakfast is not Mexican,...

Great place, nice atmosphere, fabulous breakfast with homemade sausages, bacon and ham - mmmmm! Our hosts (owners Terry and Garry) were absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to make sure were were taken care of. Our yurt was wonderful, nice bed, great bathroom and show. The room was well appointed and the grounds were very clean and definitely...

This was the second time we stayed here. We also stayed here last year for two night. We got a river front yurt this time around with a on-suite private bath. We had others in our group that also stayed in 2 other seperate yurts. This is a very lush location along the river with Date Palms everywhere. The owners...

Stopped here for the night a few weeks ago. Our room was in a concrete block bunker and furnished with what my friend called "thrift shop rejects". Located near a pretty Palm tree lined river but the grounds were messy, water tanks and junk all over. Nice breakfast amidst the kitchen-office-TV room-what have you. I know they have guests that...

Our destination RE-wedding was arranged long-distance by our hosts Terry & Gary. To help us celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, friends traveled from Los Cabo & from Las Vegas. There was a yurt for each couple or bunch! The uniquely decorated rooms are comfy & clean. The abundant breakfast includes home-baked breads, meats & fresh eggs! For those arriving the...

First of all, I had made the reservation two days ahead of time and said that we would be there in time for dinner (the guide we were using said Terry cooked dinner with notice by 2pm). When we got there, Gary was flaked out on the couch and Terry was no where to be found. He didn't bother to...
