I stayed overnight at the Desert Inn en route to Guerrero Negro. All the other guests appeared to be part of a group of US retirees on a coach trip. It's a mission-style hotel, with rooms wrapped around a central swimming pool. Comfortable, if well worn, room. 1200 pesos for the night. Wifi was very slow, and mobile phone signal...

The hotel is built on a courtyard basis similar in style to some of the Mision hotels. The rooms are large but bathrooms small. Road side rooms were noisy when traffic passing and Windows did not fit properly. Wifi available free in reception only . Dining room large and spacious and food choices fairly good although when we stayed they...

San Ignacio is off Highway 1 by a mile or so. Weather you stay or not, take the time to view. An oasis with a large lagoon, lots of palms. The hotel is a half mile from the square and mission church. Guarded parking. Nice no frills restaurant on premises. Large clean rooms with heat and aircon. Very quiet location....

Take my word for it, folks. The photos on these sites don't do justice to little, obscure hotels like this one. It wasn't all rosy for us. We visited in mid-January to go whale-watching in San Ignacio Lagoon, about a two hour drive (To the lagoon. It's a two-day drive from Tijuana or Ensenada.). There was a winter storm during...

Desert Inn San Ignacio – Room 106, May 22, 23, two nights. This hotel was formerly named La Pinta and is on Trip Advisor as both names with 2 different rates. It has not been a La Pinta hotel since 2010. We felt this hotel was the best choice in town after we checked them all. Surprisingly, this property is...

The Desert Inn is a very good value, modern-ish, hotel, if a little noisy from the street traffic at night. From the outside, the hotel looks unattractive and somewhat drab. However, on the inside, the hotels appears as a Mexican villa with a nice desert garden, a central area around the bedrooms with a nice swimming pool. The food menu...

We stayed at the Desert Inn one night in February 2016 on our way from whale watching in San Ignacio Lagoon to Loreto Airport. The hotel is nice and clean. The room we got had lots of space and beds were OK. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and the service was efficient. Food is fairly basic Mexican...

Great hotel in the midle of a palm trees oasis. Nice option if you're in San Ignacio although is not the cheapest... One thing I would improve is the internet connection, wi-fi is just available in the lobby

The food was hit and miss some was great others were poor. The service was appalling by the time he last person was served the majority had finished there meal. Our group had been booked in advance and our guide used to work here but that didn't help. Wi fi only worked in the lobby but was free
