Certificate of Excellence
Nestling in the heart of Branscombe, one of Britain's most picturesque villages, is the award winning, 14th Century, The Masons Arms. This charming thatched Inn dates back to 1350 - a cider house turned country pub - and the men who cut the stone for Exeter Cathedral drank here, hence the name. With only a leisurely ten minute stroll to Branscombe Beach, The Masons Arms offers an ideal base to escape the stresses of modern life and enjoy the magical vista of sea, beaches and the spectacular walks offered by the ninety five miles of Devon and Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The authentic interiors ooze character with timber frames, low beamed ceilings, pine cladding, whitewashed walls and a huge roaring log fire. Our award winning Restaurant offers an exciting and creative menu in relaxed fine dining surroundings. The Masons Arms kitchen brigade are dedicated to sourcing the very best of local Dartmoor produce. The cooking is classy yet simple, perfect for a special meal or relaxing Country lunch. We serve as many as six locally brewed bitters and the finest wines from around the world. The 21 bedrooms at the Masons Arms Branscombe, are cosy, stylish and inviting, blending comfort with character. The Masons Arms has been awarded a FOUR STAR rating under the Inn category by Quality in Tourism.

A fabulous old inn with huge open fire, original features, beams and alcoves. The converted cottages are spacious and have everything you need, if a little dated and tired looking. The evening restaurant menu is superb, worth the great reviews, along with the wine menu....More

Beautiful inn in a tiny village just minutes away from the sea. Very cosy and pleasant rooms. Ask the rooms above the car park to have a better view and no car parked by your window. The pub itself is very quirky and we loved...More

We spent one night here in some dreary November weather but The Masons Arms is anything but dreary! This ancient village inn makes you feel welcome as soon as you cross the threshold. We were welcomed by Jimmy with whom we had made our telephone...More

We had a 4-day Travel Zoo offer, which was great value and I can't really find fault with anything. Room 25 was a standard room but it had a double aspect and had plenty of room. The bathroom was off a small foyer in the...More

We really loved our stay at the Masons Arms. A wonderful cosy pub with friendly staff in a chocolate box Devon village. A short walk to to the beach. Fantastic rooms. We will definitely return with our doggy

Sorry, also no picture of the rooms but you certainly can eat in the bar and they will also book a table there for you and you can have your dog with you. Like the bar area better than the restaurant.
