Lunch yesterday with my wife and 2 friends, pleasant menu with large amount of starters or small portion meals but we could not order a child's meal for my very tiny eater wife. The food, mine plaice grilled was delicious and a large piece, my friends had beer battered haddock with mushy peas. Chips were served in separate dishes were...

We used to be regulars at "The Boot" but moved away so hadn't been for probably 10 years. The pub was always very good but it's got better. The food menu was underwhelming and read as bog standard pub grub but the reality was very different! Each course was excellent, and was of high quality using fresh ingredients. The pub...

Friendly welcome at check in and during our stay. Stayed in Room 6 with views of the castle and swans in the moat! Room was spotlessly clean and quite big. It is facing the main road, but it was quiet during the night and didn't disturb us. We ate in the restaurant - Fish and Chips went down well! Only...

This place was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. A friendly welcome, good food and full of locals who had booked tables. (Always a good thing to note). Happy to pass on the recommendation.

A lovely small hotel full of old world charm. Had a spacious twin room with large en-suite. The evening meal was gorgeous, as was the Full English breakfast. The owner and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Very reasonably priced we thought. Lovely views across the road to Whittington Castle with it's moat and ample wildfowl. The only down...

We come here regularly and the food is always excellent whether for lunch or an evening meal. Staff are also friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are amazingly comfortable and clean and offer very good value for money. A traditional British pub. Highly recommended

The Inn is run by a very friendly, professional team. I stayed one night as a single guest. The room and ensuite were spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. This is an old property with different floor level and interesting corridors again tastefully furnished. Television in the room had all the free view channels and good...

We stopped for lunch here between christmas and new year while out braving the sales with a 3 year old. Despite the fact that they were obviously busy and we hadn't booked, the staff managed to find us a table. The bar/restaurant has great atmosphere and the menu is good pub style food. Food arrived very quickly once they'd taken...

Stayed 2 nights in room 6, overlooking the castle, spotlessly clean double room with ensuite, although on busy road traffic noise during night was minimal and did not disturb us, the food was tasty, beautifully prepared and served by welcoming and friendly staff. There is a great bar, three lovely dining rooms one of which you are welcome to bring...
