This has been the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in! Gerry and Mair make the most fantastic hosts, so warm and welcoming... even though we arrived after 9pm that did not matter to them! Gerry has amazing knowledge of the whole area surrounding Llanfairfechan and guided us to several different places to visit including places to eat and drink! It never seemed a problem to him in helping us out with were to go and what routes to take, he was extremely helpful! Every morning we had the most beautiful breakfast made for us by Mair and there was plenty to chose from and more than enough gorgeous food, we are definitely going to miss these breakfasts! The grove is a lovely, warm, cosy home situated perfectly and our room was lovely and very comfortable for us! We are hoping to come back and visit again in the future! Thank you Gerry and Mair for having us!

I have had the pleasure to stay with Mair and Gerry at The Grove a number of times now. They are such warm and welcoming hosts and strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The Grove is a beautiful B&B situated on the edge of Snowdonia, really handy for anyone like me setting off on a solo trek across the national park. I have stayed in two of the rooms previously and they are both lovingly furnished and well appointed. I always rise early to start my hike and Mair and Gerry are more than willing to prepare a hearty breakfast no matter the time. Frankly, it impossible to rate the warmth and hospitality you will receive. Five stars simply does not do The Grove, or Gerry and Mair, justice. Go yourself and experience the best welcome in North Wales.

A great base for north Wales coast/Anglesey/ Snowdonia. Mair and Gerry work hard to make one's stay as enjoyable and fulfilling as possible. From a snack on arrival to the décor of the bedrooms, they have thought carefully about the provision for visitors. Comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Gerry was most helpful in making suggestions on places to visit and local eateries. Sadly we were only there for two nights (this time anyway)!

Just got back home today (Friday 24th August 2018) and we are missing Mair and Gerry already! They have a truly beautiful home in Llanfairfechan (hope I spelt it correctly). Anyhow, the house is beautiful, our hosts Gerry and Mair were exceptional and nothing too much trouble, the breakfast was amazing every single day, our room was beautiful and the bed oh so comfortable. The location was outstanding too with a bus stop just fifty yards from their front door- public transport to Llandudno, Bangor and Beaumaris. Gerry is a walking Tourist Information Centre with not only a wealth of knowledge of the history of wales but also a living, walking, talking guide book of “things to do in North Wales. Just a five minute walk and you have a village pub that does the largest, most tastiest roast meals you have ever had! We spent four nights at Gerry and Mairs beautiful home and left feeling totally rejuvenated.....and a little sad BUT we will be back!

Mair and Gerry couldn't have made us feel more welcome. We were greeted with tea and cake and Mair made dinner bookings for us. Our room was clean and comfortable and there was an excellent guest lounge downstairs. Breakfasts were lovely, and nicely served in the conservatory overlooking the garden and well visited bird feeders. There is very little in the way of dining places nearby but the first night we ate in 'Oceans', a seaside café on the promenade in walking distance of the B & B. Nothing grand but very good food. The next night Mair had booked us into The Slate, an excellent restaurant in Tal y Bont and her daughter kindly took us there and Gerry brought us back. Gerry is a railway enthusiast and enjoys talking about it to like minded people.

We stayed for nine nights and both Mair and Gerry were fantastic hosts. Their wealth of local knowledge meant our days were spent visiting places which were definitely worth a visit. The breakfasts were delicious (especially Mair's homemade banana muffins) and there was plenty of choice. The room was a good size (we stayed in Conwy) with plenty of touches to make us comfortable, such as the fresh coffee, and the fridge for guest use was a great idea. The location is ideal for visiting a variety of sites on the north and the Grove grounds are lovely to relax in. The available books and games to loan were also a lovely addition. Thank you Gerry and Mair for a wonderful stay!

We found The Grove after some last minute hunting for a break away, and what a gem. Mair and Gerry were absolutely lovely and welcoming, and really helpful for what to see and do too (of which there was lots!) It is really well located for exploring North Wales. Rooms were clean, tidy, and well presented/maintained, nice and cosy :) Breakfast was great with an amazing array of options cooked up by Mair, really tasty too! Thanks for a lovely stay, we will be back.

After stumbling across this place in booking.com i wouldn’t stay anywhere else upon my return to North Wales! Wonderful rooms, breakfast coming out of your ears and well two of the loveliest BnB owners who went above and beyond for us giving us the best things to see and do in the local areas!! Couldn’t rate this place enough! You won’t be disappointed.!.

We decided on the grove for our last bank holiday get away, and we were not disappointed, the B&B is set in its own grounds, the house is beautiful, and all the rooms are very tastefully decorated, Mair and Gerry could not be any more helpful if they tried, they are both a source of knowledge, so very helpful, our room was Ogwen, it's in the front of the house and has a distant sea view which was beautiful to see! Breakfast was as big or small as you want it to be, there is also a variety of cereals and fruits, amongst other items, we had a fabulous couple of days filled with all the knowledge of the area we could take in, Gerry has so much knowledge he is incredible, thank u for making our stay so welcoming!! Nigel & Sue, Blackpool xx
