Mary and her brother John were wonderful hosts. My husband and I stayed on the hikers package and we could not have asked for more. Mary supplied generous lunch options and a delicious breakfast and dinner with local treats (not to mention homemade desert). I was a bit under the weather when we visited and Mary made me feel right...

I stayed at Wild Roses B&B for two nights. The room was very clean and spacy. Mary serves a wonderful cooked breakfast and is very helpful with anything you need or want to know about the area. Goulds is only about 20 minutes driving from St. John's. So for me this B&B was the perfect place to stay. As Mary...

"Home away" today sounds like a cliché when writing a review for an accomodation, but Mary makes it come true in a way that I have rarely seen anywhere else. From the warm welcome with a cup of tea, to the cozy rooms and Mary's great cooking, you could not ask for more. Add to that the Wild Roses' convenient...

Mary is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. Breakfast was filling and generous. We would definitely stay there again. My brother made the arrangements and for him to pick a bed and breakfast was unexpected; I think Mary changed his mind. Mary definitely made us feel at home and as though we were part...

I haven't stayed and many b&b's before and to be honest I was a bit nervous pulling up as it was someone's home. My worries were put to rest immediately has Mary and a friend greeted us at the door. The room was what we needed and Mary had tea waiting for us after we settled down. She and Jon...

Want to meet a true NF family, this is most certainly the place. Mary is a great host and if her brother John is in attendance, then you are in for a true experience. As other reviews have noted it is just like going home and you will be welcomed as such!

The previous reviews have this one so right. We stayed her 3 nights recently while hiking the East Coast Trail, and had 3 meals daily provided. This was luck personified as owner/hostess is one fine cook and each dinner was better than the previous. Well prepared breakfasts from scratch and bag lunches for the trail completed the package. Our room...

While this is a B&B, it is almost more like staying with family. Mary has a big family and most of them live nearby. There is almost always a grandchild, a son, a cousin, her brother, or someone passing through in addition to the guests. Mary is gracious, accommodating, and always exudes confidence that she can weather any situation that...

We signed up for the "hiking special" and got all three meals plus transportation to and from our chosen hikes on the East Coast Trail. Mary treated us to some local specialties -- toutons, fish cakes, and those wonderful mustard pickles! -- and provided us with ample breakfasts and lunches. She is one of the most unflappable people you'll ever...

I can't say anything more than the other reviews. Mary was lovely, and made us feel very welcome. It's about a 20 minute drive to St. John's. Mary is very knowledgeable about the attractions and tourist areas near St. John's, and was helpful in our decision making. Would recommend to anyone going in this area.

“We shared a bathroom with another couple, who we didn't know. Everything worked out fine, but if you want a private bathroom, inquire first.”

“choose the room that has the shared bathroomm with another room - it is on the far end of the house and would can;t here people coming and going if you are in bed - also the room had a fan, large closet, queen and futon beds and 2 windows to give quality air flow.”
