This is one of the best hotels at which we've stayed in Mexico. Would definitely request a room off the main terrace. We had the corner room, (106) and it was the biggest room we've ever had in all our travels. With a huge bathroom as well. They have a fabulous restaurant in their courtyard with a flamenco guitarist Tues...

I stayed at Posada Carmina for 3 nights and for the price, I expected a dump. But I was surprised to find very clean and pleasant accomodations. Yes, the rooms were simple but everything was clean even the bathrooms. I'm not sure what the rooms are in the older section of the hotel, but I stayed in the newer section....

We stayed a week in May '03 in a very large, high-ceiling king on Cuna de Allende - the Parroquia bells were very loud. A Jan '05 overnight stay in a smaller generic room overlooking Calle Jesus was much quieter. We like the courtyard restaurant, but their room and restaurant prices are increasing faster than most places in SMdA. M

We stayed here for three nights in February, 2005. We had to press the desk to get the room we wanted, and we are happy we held out for a room in the new part of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable and purified drinking water poured from the water faucet. The location is perfect. (Our large room had...

We found Posada Carmina as a result of research, book and personally checking out the options. We had originally booked to stay at a higher end Villa, but, when our room proved to not be to our liking, we began looking for an alternative. We happily found that the Posada Carmina was charming, very well located and welcoming. We will...

Just arrived from San Miguel, the previous review is right on the money. I would just like to add, that due to its location right next to Jardin Plaza, it tends to get noisy until very, very late; so bring earplugs. It is pretty, charming, and for $80 US a great place.

I have stayed in this hotel numerous times and have always been happy. They have a new section in the back, but I prefer the old section surrounding the courtyard. It is more rustic (authentic) with old wooden doors, tile, etc. The employees at the desk speak english and are very helpful. Call to reserve a room and you will...
