We stayed at Casita Quetzal, located just a few blocks away from Casa Quetzal, this is a smaller version of the hotel meant to accomadate travellers on a limited budget. They have 3 nicely decorated rooms with full bathrooms and a lovely mirador/rooftop terrace with stunning views of San Miguel. One thing to mention about the rooftop terrace, the stairs...

I had always wanted to visit San Miguel de Allende so when I came across the auction on LuxuryLink.com, I jumped on it. Our package included a weekday stay at the Casa Quetzal, transfers to and from Leon Airport, breakfast everyday and one dinner with live Mariachis music. The breakfasts were very generous, the hotel provided drinking water free and...

Casa Quetzal was the perfect place for a romantic long weekend surprise getaway! great rooms and everything in perfect walking distance! clean and quiet for resting ...but also very centrally located in the city. Pretty, spacious and tasteful rooms including a common terrace hot tub with a charming garden....lovely breakfast on the terrace every morning! The owner is a Vermont...

We just returned from a 5 night stay at Casa Quetzal. My husband and I stayed in the Diego Suite and my 20's something daughter stayed in Casita Quetzal. We were all charmed. Javier and Manolo, who staff the front desk and really cater to your needs, are just plain stars when it comes to service and hospitality. The owner...

We picked the Casa Quetzal (Quetzal is a plumed bird) mainly out of Fodor’s, but also did a fair amount of other research. We debated about choosing the Sierra Nevada, but the latter cost significantly more per night and did not offer breakfast. While we were in San Miguel, we popped into Sierra Nevada (just down the street) and asked...

Casa Quetzal is an oasis for relaxing. The staff will pamper you.The terrace views will astound you and San Miquel will draw you in. Casa Quetzal is barely a 7 minute stroll down cobble stone streets, from "The Jardin", the heart of San Miguel. The staff was always ther for us. We loved that they were from the San Miguel...

My wife Erin and I were married in San Miguel and we were extremely fortunate to find Cynthia and Casa Queztal. Erin and Cynthia planned the entire wedding over the phone and in turn trusted many decisions to Cynthia and her extremely talented staff. When we arrived in San Miguel Cynthia was extrodinary in her attention to detail. She personally...

I came to Casa Quetzal with little knowledge of the town or the hotel. I'd never done a Mexico vacation that wasn't at a beach - so I had some trepidation before I went. My worries were quickly assuaged when I walked through the doors of Casa Quetzal. What a beautiful b&b! I stayed in Diego, a very cozy, beautifully...

We recently spent a very relaxing week at the Casa Quetzal, in the Zen suite. Some notes on our stay: (1) The hotel is beautiful. The common areas are lovely and and so was our suite. The furnishings were comfortable and tasteful, and the amenities were very nice. There were fresh flowers in our sitting area, a hairdryer and magnifying...

Management response:

Once again, I find it interesting that a satisfied guest would say we are "over priced." Casa Quetzal is not a B and B but a small boutique hotel; our high staff to guest ratio and attention to detail is EXPENSIVE to maintain. I have done innumberable comparatives with others like us and none that would be in the same...

I recently stayed at Casa Quetzal for eight nights with two friends. We had chosen the Karma Suite which was exactly as presented on the web site. With two large bedrooms, a large bathroom and a living room/kitchen area, we had ample room. The patio was a welcome retreat every afternoon to relax after a day of shopping and prior...
