This is a charming old hotel with beautiful gardens and a nice pool and jacuzzi, but the rooms need to be updated, specially the bathrooms. As well as some of the furnishings. Most of the staff was very courteous and went out of their way to help, except the people at the front desk. Specially when we checked in. We...

This is a pretty spot up on the hill in San Miguel. The gardens and pool provide a nice getaway from the busy centro. Rooms were spacious, clean and basic. We had a small balcony with a nice view. The staff was friendly and very helpful and entirely Spanish speaking. Some of the things promised in the guide book and...

The hotels is gorgeous and the people are amazing. It's a more rustic/hacienda feel to it, but very comfortable and relaxing. Food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. Our room was very spacious with a large bathroom, large bedroom and additional sitting area. Very clean as well. My favorite part out of all of this was the landscaping!...

We went to this amazing hotel for a wedding and loved every bit of it! The food was delicious (especially their salsa and tortilla soup), the staff was spectacular and so friendly, and the rooms were so cute and quaint. I love how you can have a fire burning in your room. I highly recommend this hotel!!

My family and I had a great time at this unique hotel. We enjoyed the restaurant, handball court, ping-pong, and swimming pool. It's 8 minutes walking distance from old town, which was great exercise. Our room had vaulted ceiling and a sitting room. The gardens were beautiful. This is not your typical mainstream place. Enjoy your stay!

Dont expect luxury, its all about great service and kind staff in an old Hacienda style hotel. Rooms are well maintained, you will have everything you need at a reasonable price. Consider a good option if you want to stay outside the town heart.

The Atascadero is a 1960s-70s property, and the lack of modern services really shows. There is no heating or air conditioning, the rooms have, at best, a single electrical outlet, and in many of the rooms, there is no hot water. How they can charge $120 per night (1,600 pesos) is beyond me, but if you have any other option,...

We stayed at the Rancho Hotel el Atascadero on the outskirts of town to avoid having to drive inside the city with its narrow streets. It was a beautiful retreat with gorgeous gardens, a pool, tennis courts and a restaurant on site. They even had free Wi-Fi (which worked about half the time we were there). The only negatives were...
