We did not stay at the hotel, for we were guests at a friends house but we were looking for pointers on San Miguel de Allende from the locals, and we were very pleasantly surprised at the very good advice we received after some fine tunning on where to go to eat.

We live close by to San Miguel Allende and decided to spend the weekend there. Had visited for a wedding and were familiar with it. San Miguel de Allende is a lovely Mexican Magic Town in Central Colonial Mexico. Cultural inheritance and Tradition ( Mexico's Independence started there) is unparalleled. The Hotel is a magnificent old Mexican Colonial House, in...

I loved San Miguel and the Casa de Sierra Nevada is a big part of what made my stay there perfect. Everything from the accommodations to the spa and cooking school were amazing. The staff is exceptional and made me feel so at home. I can't think of anywhere else in the world I've stayed that was so wonderful in...

My wife and I spent a week at Casa De Sierra Nevada. What a wonderful hotel and beautiful city. The hotel was a bit of a splurge but we decided to indulge ourselves and couldn't have picked a better choice. The hotel up-graded our Jr. Suite to a Deluxe suite which was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure the reason....

My wife, daughters (ages 9 and 12) and I just completed a week long stay at Casa De Sierra Nevada. The experience was beyond exceptional. The property is stunning, the rooms perfect in every way, and the hospitality is the best we have ever experienced. The concierges, Ricardo, Monse, and Jesus were spectacular hosts and every staff person we interacted...

My wife and I found service at this hotel exceptional. All the people we dealt with were friendly and helpful. We would particularly like to single out Gustavo Rodriguez, a long time staff member, who gave us wonderful personal attention. He was gracious and helpful at all times. The location, just a block and a half from the central plaza,...

We had a sweet room with a terrace that had a view of the gorgeous main cathedral of the town. The room was very clean and decorated as you might expect a room in a nice Mexican house to be decorated. Oh, and the bathtub has a huge sky light directly overhead! Really a nice stay made all the nicer...

My wife and I after having visited nearly every beach area in Mexico were interested in real mexico rather than disneyland mexico. This area was perfect destination. We found the city of san miguel and the city of Guanajuato safe, clean, people nice, great food. The colonial history and the architecture are amazing. The property itself is a series of...

We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect for walking the entire city and the service was excellent. The rooms are large, charming and decorated in very good taste. The beds are very comfortable and they have a pillow menu to chose from. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Sierra Nevada Parque for 4 nights. It's a lovely setting in a beautiful location. The first day I took a bath and the floor flooded from the drain in the floor, not the tub--so I was moved and upgraded into an enormous suite. The architecture is incredible, the grounds spectacular, and the service as good as you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Belmond Casa de Sierra Nevada is a mixture of 16th to 18th century Spanish colonial buildings, located one and one-half blocks from the cathedral and main city square of San Miguel de Allende. Its 37 rooms and suites are spread amongst six colonial mansions. Each casona, or mansion, which features five to seven guest rooms or suites, is unique. Many feature outdoor courtyards with fountains, small gardens and al fresco corridors. Guests do not have the feeling of being in a hotel at all.
