Originally built by the Dutch in the 1860s, this 27-room heritage hotel stands tall and elegant on the popular Princess Street in Fort Kochi.
Once part of the palatial home of an eminent Jew family, Forte Kochi and the interiors of each of the 27 luxuriously styled heritage rooms has been recreated to present the glorious colonial period of Kerala.
Stayed at Hotel Forte Kochi , A very beautiful boutique property , the best in Fort Kochi , and filled with history. Well decorated with all facilities of a top end luxury property. Excellent hospitality and guidance on all aspects around kochi .Thank Sajeesh and team for the hospitality and making our stay truly wonderful. Anil & Shalini
We had a very comfortable stay at Forte Kochi for about a week. The included breakfast was extensive and delicious with several made-to-order dishes like dosas and waffles. The pool was very refreshing in the hot sun, and the complimentary afternoon tea and snack was a nice treat. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is very beautiful and photo friendly! The staff were incredibly courteous and efficient. In particular, we really appreciated then packing a delicious breakfast for us on our last day when we had an early flight home. We highly recommend Forte Kochi for a beautiful and relaxing stay.
Just ok for one night. Good location and staff is helpful b ut lot is lacking. Largerly i blame the man agement who can run such a ,ovely hotel in KLR and dont follow the same here. exmple breakfast. nohting was nice. I would ask them to send thier chefs from KLR to try the food here. Dosa -- limp, samabr sad. Omlette. Masala omletter without corriander.. and i asked for cheese so they added cream cheese. basic gaps/ None of this in Kumarakom lake resort. the channa batura at breakfast first day was undercooked. was so average that we decided to eat in the many cafes close by. Lunch: food is definitely better and most curries very very nice. but the overall coridnation in the package incusive meals was lacking, the staff is not trainied. Maybe just have a thali . They have options to choose from but the portions are so large that so much food is wasted. You are asked to choose one salad, one soup ,one starter, 2 mian dishes and each serving is actually for 2-3 people and the appam and paratha usually come before the food and so you wait and it gets cold. Lots to be fixed. roooms are nice. we had 2 imperial rooms and 2 classic. in Imperial rooms some hooks in the bathroom are needed. i didnt see the clssic so cant comment. But essentailly this hotel can do a lot more to kake a travelers sty better wiht a bit of effort, training and managemet…
I have absolutely no words to share my experience at this gorgeous old world charm pouring hotel located at Princess street in Fort Kochi. The soothing sunny yellow building is strikingly beautiful, with interiors giving you a run through old world set up - wooden magnificence, Dutch-touched tiled floors, long beautiful corridors, a breathtaking courtyard with blue mosaic tiled swimming pool reflecting & glistening its beauty - an entirely unique experience. The room was gorgeous and spacious - with a dreamy ,traditional wooden antique furniture, colored windows overlooking the buzzing Princess Street. The staff were very welcoming and hospitality top notch. Breakfast was included and both the days we could indulge in delicious breakfast which was a combination of continental and Indian breakfast. Eat by the pool and you are going to love it!🫶 A getaway from the usuals, this one is special and will stay in memory. Definitely coming back with more family and friends. Highly recommending this beautiful hotel to everyone. The hallways, corridors, rooms - makes you time travel💛…
From the moment we planned our trip, we had a great experience with the staff at Forte Kochi. Staff went above and beyond to make your experience a memorable one. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in fort kochi.
Everything from the decor and furnishing to the service and menu demonstrated attention to detail, professionalism and quality. Not only was the food delicious, the service left us feeling royally pampered
The overall hotel and staff were super sweet and made our stay very comfortable and memorable! Will definitely be back. Rooms are very clean and all required amenities were provided. This is the perfect weekend staycation spot!
This was my 2nd stay at the property. My 1st stay was fantastic, and 2nd stay was even better with my spouse. He too loved the overall experience and hospitality received at the hotel. From the staff, Jerin, Sajeesh, Rahul, Tapan and Prabhas were extremely sweet and took care of our smallest needs even after we checked out of our rooms. Unlike other hotels that are completely commercial, Forte kochi provides you a very pleasant and luxurious treatment while still making you feel cozy. I'll definitely stay here again in my next visit.
Hotel is beautiful from outside hotel location is good. But just go there for coffee don’t go for lunch. lunch is so disgusting and spicy and unfresh. Staff is very rude I was with my two year old baby and they asked me extra charges. And Rs.3000.manger sajeesh and his team rude and harsh. I saw the rat near my room.
One of the best hotels I have visited till date in kochi. Good ambience and food as well. Thanks to Rahul for his hospitality services. Will visit for sure again. Thanks all for a wonderful eve. Kerala superb place for a visit
