Kinnitty Castle, is close to the picturesque village of Kinnitty, Co. Offaly set beautifully against a backdrop of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. The Castle has a long and turbulent history. Dating originally from 1209, Kinnitty was destroyed and rebuilt not once but twice and yet it retains character and oozes charm. Kinnity is in a great location only 90 minutes from Dublin and is a great stop off point for journeys west or southwards. It is an exceptional place for lovers of good food and the great outdoors.

My family and I came here for lunch only during a day of traveling and touring. IT WAS AMAZING. The best seafood chowder I have ever had. The staff were very generous and allowed us to tour the halls once we were done eating. This is a very beautiful place!

Myself and my wife were in the area and dropped in for lunch. I had a toasted ham cheese and onion toastie with chips and my wife a seafood chowder. The chips were hand cut and home made and were very good. The toastie was made with home cooked ham and the side salad very fresh

We were there for a wedding and some guests had children with them so I presume there are rooms that accommodate children.
