Fantastic surroundings and affordable. Let's face it we would all love the castle experience but it tends to be prohibitively expensive...This could be your solution, the castle is beautiful, staff are local and that's a great thing because Offaly hospitality is the best there is. Food here is fantastic, a true history buff might notice a few items out of...

We got married in Kinnitty Castle in the foothills of the Slieve Blooms in July 2016. We would like to thank the entire team at Kinnitty Castle for their hospitality on the day and in the months leading up to the wedding. The staff are very professional and accommodating, everything went perfectly on the day. Many of our guests raved...

Went into Kinnitty Castle "Dungeon Bar" for some soup and sandwiches after walk in Kinnitty woodlands. Lovely entrance to grounds and impressive building. Staff very friendly and bar food ok. Only negative was the big screen TV showing soccer match in Bar and turned up loud. Not what I was expecting in quite country hideaway on new years day. Asked...

My travel companions and I stayed at Kinnitty Castle Hotel in September. We arrived rather late in the evening and from the front road it was quite a site. The facade with its many peaks was very charming. We stayed in their State Rooms, which we were advised over a few email conversations were generally some of their more spacious...

I enjoyed our visit to Kinitty Castle. Such a charming place, lovely rooms and nice feeling to the place. Only a couple of small reasons for not giving a 5 stars: I felt that the place could do with a small spa/ swimming pool for complete relaxation, also Father Hugh( the ghost)came to visit our room in the middle of...

I went for dinner with my son and daughter last night and it was amazing awesome delicious. The ambience was 100 out of 10 and the effort put in by the staff all around was wonder land. Our meal was so delicious wonderful chef; from start to finish all I can say is go and try it for yourself it's...

Really great weekend here. Food excellent both nights. Staff very helpful and friendly to the extent that thy organised a private room for our dinner on Saturday night. I thought it might be cold because it was such an authentic castle but not so. There are plenty of things to do in the area with Birr castle close by.my reason...

I had the most wonderful two days in Kinnitty Castle hotel, thanks to my husband who booked it as a birthday treat. He has wanted to come here for years and decided to book this for the two of us. We stayed in the Cormac Room and it was great. I didn't expect to have so many old traditional features...

The castle was excellent and full of atmosphere. Staff at all levels - bar, restaurant, reception - were absolutely TOP class. Best service I've had in a long time, and I stay in many, many hotels, of all standards including high end ones. I've had better service here than several very famous hotels elsewhere. Food was outstanding and service impeccable....

The castle itself is beautiful, the staff are friendly, we had a double and single room booked for a couple & a child, unfortunately we we arrived a double bed was all that was in the room, we had been shown to the room so the receptionist was made aware of this straight away, she said she would come back...
