We booked 2 nights in a triple room in Lyoban, the friendliness of the staff, the beautiful sunsets and general magic spark of the place and Zipolite itself made us stay an extra night. We would have stayed more given a chance but our time was short. The hotel is simple, no frills and no fuss. The perfect companion to...

Many happy holidays I have spent at the Lyoban. It was one of the first places to be built after the cyclone. It had a wonderful laid back feeling. A dentist from DF bought a partnership and made himself the manager. He seemed to hate the guests and did his best to drive the regulars away. He is long gone....

Right in the centre of the beach, away from the over-touristed Roca Blanca but still close to transport and shops. The rooms are simple but clean and nice and the upstairs hammocks are fabulous. There is a great kitchen and bar, lockers and a safe for valuables, a pool table and even a small pool. Pablo and his team went...

If you are looking for an authentic, rustic, familiar, friendly, special and quiet stay and wonderful conversations with Pablo you have to go here!! The hotel is located directly at the sea and you can hear the awesome sound of the waves all day and night long. I loved it! The hostel has a pool table, a kicker (football) and...

Originally we wanted to stay in Masunte, but we did not find anything decent, for the same money as we had big room with one king bed and one queen bed in Lyoban, in Masunte we were ofered room like 3x3 meters, with three beds and table with no chairs, and very small window. The only thing you could here...

My bf and I visited Lyoban in Oct 2011. We stayed a few days in a private room with a bathroom. This place is right on the beach! Those who have left bad reviews have evidently not stayed any where in Zipo at all. This pace is clean, safe (security cameras and a locked safe), and in a good location....

Stayed here for one night in private room. The hostal is about 5-10 min walk from the main street, but is still right on the beach. Only a few rooms face the beach. We had one not facing which meant the room was very hot as there was no fresh air coming in. Place is very run down as it...
