We were looking for a place to stay near mussoorie but after spending some time on internet we got more confused as internet was flooded with loads of options.then someone suggested Camp spillway retreat. We finalised it after a bit of discussion. Then came the day we started early that morning and reached camp at lunch. The camp is situated in the lap of nature close to dehradun. We were briefed about do's and don'ts and then tents were allotted. As most of us were so excited that post lunch we opted for adventure activities, instead of some rest. That session went for around 2 hour's followed by hot tea and cookies. Post tea we enjoyed in the in-house swimming pool for a while (long while☺️). After freshnup we again met on evening snacks nd bonfire along with music. Next morning started with nature walk, Mr Namit accompanied us alongwith flora and fauna he showed us a dam(actually a check dam) and brief us about canal distribution system of british era. We had our breakfast and enjoyed some team building game's with Mr Mayank. Around 11:30 am we started our journey towards mussoorie with unforgettable memories. It was a fantastic trip, looking forward to meet Namit ji and Mayank ji (owners) & team. Overall food quality, service, accommodation and everything was great. Highly recommend for families as well as big group's equally. Will come back for longer stay once everything is like it was before this pandemic.…
superb campsite. a little confusing to get there but once we were there it was simply fabulous. right at the bottom of a valley with a little river passing by, a perfect camp getaway. they have 2 types of tents we took the Swiss tent which was bigger than the other one. we were lucky because there were some cancellations which meant we had the entire place to ourselves, and what a holiday it was. friendly staff who know their limits and were not they have a fabulous chef who would cooks me super elaborate meals dal rice chapatis 2 veggies and we had requested for non veg so there would be chicken to go with it. nothing like a chilled out holiday with great food ... I would really recommend this place. a must visit.
The camp was at a beautiful location, with all the facilities of car parking and food. The most beautiful and unexpected part of camp were the tents- which can challenge any luxury home away from home. Apart from tents there is swimming pool and outdoor sport activity which are carried out by the professionals there. It’s a very good option for group of people can be family or friends, for a weekend and overnight stay would be suggested. It’s always better to make reservations in advance.
We came to know about this property from a mutual friend as we wanted our kids to have some fun filled activities. the location is close to Dehradun but away from the city in a small hamlet. the accommodation is swiss tents which are in a very good condition ....basic but neat and clean. the activities for children are safe and good. the special highlight is the morning trek with the co owners. the food was all inclusive ..good and sumptuous. the staff was helpful and friendly. they have a fair sized swimming pool getting water from the river next door which they keep rotating constantly. the kids had lot of fun . we would definitely go again........Totally worth the money. thanks Namit
The campsite is beautifully placed - in the lap of the mountains. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. The buffet was tasty and the snacks were also hot and nice. They have trained professional for all the adventure activities. Trek to the caves and Paint Ball are a must do. Total value for money. Recommended for a short two/three day trip.
