Alsisar Mahal is the battle hardened palace in the town of Alsisar in Shekhawati Region of Rajasthan. Earlier Alsisar Mahal was the residence of the Thakur of Alsisar, which is recently renovated and refurbished into a luxurious heritage hotel. Alsisar, famous for castles, Havelis and Cenotaphs is a small town surrounded by semi arid desert, situated in the north-western part of Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan. It originated in the form of small Havelis' collection in the town and later developed in the form of huge havelis which today stands tall and leaves a history behind them. There are hundreds of havelis in this area which bear the wonderful fresco paintings in various everlasting colours and designs. Each speaks with full throated ease about the glorious past of Shekhawati. They are the masterpiece of art and architecture created centuries ago. This is the reason the land of Alsisar Mahal is popularly known as open art gallery.
Excellent Hotel, several hours drive from Delhi located in a village, where we spent a night during our trip in Rajasthan. The staff was helpful and made our stay comfortable. The room was huge. We really enjoyed our stay at Alsisar Mahal.

The property is well connected from Delhi and is a pleasant 6 hours drive. Some stretches were under renovation at the time we traveled. The property is grand and imposing and has a wonderful heritage feel about it. Very well maintained as well. The rooms are gigantic with huge washrooms and a sitting area just outside. It was really cold when we visited and the two heaters in the room were life saving. Being on the top our room had adequate sunlight as well. The evening we arrived, we booked a sundowner. This was essentially open gypsies modified for safari which took us over sand dunes and into the desert to a vantage point to view the sunset. This was a nice experience especially for my 12 year old son. We did get to see some deer, neel guy, different birds etc. Hot tea…

Nestled in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan Alsisar Mahal transports you into an era of unmatched magnificence. Right from the intricate artwork to beautifully done interiors and well maintained antiques, Alsisar Mahal enthralls you in every little way. The Grandeur of this property is praiseworthy and will leave you awestruck. We visited Alsisar Mahal for 2 days and enjoyed our stay in their Super Deluxe room which was beyond grand. The room had a king size bed, tea coffee facility, a huge seating area, dressing room and a well quipped bathroom. Since I visited during the winters, the heaters were also facilitated. The property has a beautiful courtyard, a vast pool side area, a grand dining area and a roof top from which you can see the entire property and the area that…

Located in a village in Rajasthan, India, this property is not in an impressive location. Once inside though is a different story. Well appointed and maintained it provides all the facilities of a resort and comfort of home. The cuisine was very good and the service commendable. We were a large family group of all age groups( 4 yrs to 85 yrs ). It gave us an opportunity and time to bond and let our hair down

Travelling internationally since 1971 and staying in more than 2000 hotels worldwide this hotel is in my all-time "top ten". The rooms are incredible and the dining room magnificent. Our balcony with views to the East and the memory of the sunrise is one we will cherish forever. The staff were really attentive and charming and treated us like royalty. Put this hotel on your bucket list!
