Alsisar Mahal is the battle hardened palace in the town of Alsisar in Shekhawati Region of Rajasthan. Earlier Alsisar Mahal was the residence of the Thakur of Alsisar, which is recently renovated and refurbished into a luxurious heritage hotel. Alsisar, famous for castles, Havelis and Cenotaphs is a small town surrounded by semi arid desert, situated in the north-western part of Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan. It originated in the form of small Havelis' collection in the town and later developed in the form of huge havelis which today stands tall and leaves a history behind them. There are hundreds of havelis in this area which bear the wonderful fresco paintings in various everlasting colours and designs. Each speaks with full throated ease about the glorious past of Shekhawati. They are the masterpiece of art and architecture created centuries ago. This is the reason the land of Alsisar Mahal is popularly known as open art gallery.

Beautiful Palace in Rural belt of Rajasthan. Which was once part of silk route. The palace is well maintained and with open areas. Excellent place to be in COVID times. You feel safe. The rooms have their own character and you can have private time with family. The staff is really warm. The General Manager Mr Zaheer who personally takes care and does his best to keep guest happy.
The food has local Rajasthani Touch. There is swimming pool and lawns to play. In the evenings you can have drinks on the dunes watching sunset. There is world war 2 lounge with a jeep inside the lounge. Which has its own beauty.
Would certainly recommend for people living in cities to go and enjoy the most beautiful property of Shekhawati region. It is extremely peaceful and fun property.

The Alsisar Mahal makes you feel like royalty and relive the past.

The warm welcome by Zaheer and his ever smiling staff made you feel most welcome. They were always there to serve you from the early morning to past midnight without any signs of tiredness.

The dining room with its super huge 22 seater dining table at the centre, the poolside and the gardens where we relaxed over tea and snacks, the rooftop Badal Mahal where the sunlight trickled in through the stained glass windows, the dungeon with the handcuffs and torture mechanisms and the world war 2 memorabilia room, or just the simple courtyard surrounded by the rooms were all super venues for the many functions we had over the days we spent there.

The holiday was a very memorable and relaxing trip.

Quaint, mesmerising artwork, open spaces, palatial, super friendly staff, awesome food, beautiful and peaceful ambience … far from the maddening crowd, what else can the heart desire.

Went with friends and kids -3 families to take a break mid Covid. All precautions were followed by the staff and they made our visit absolutely memorable.

My sister and I visited the Haveli in early March. It was a strange time to visit with the virus beginning it’s spread across the world. It had not reached this beautiful area of Rajasthan yet and we had a fabulous visit at this stunning Haveli. I would call it a palace. Every area in the palace is filled with paintings, wonderful photographs of the family throughout the years, stunning frescos, antique furniture, stained glass windows that send rainbow light, hidden rooms on all the floors which we were able to explore and so much more. The staff was so friendly and helpful and every wish was fulfilled. The food was excellent and the rooms graceful and with every comfort.
We hope to come back again and bring friends as soon as the world heals.

Went on an extended weekend trip in jan’21. We were 3 couples and 2 kids. The hotel is in the middle of the small shanty town, but once you get there, the propriety is fabulous. Immensely well maintained and decorated, like the WW2 lounge and superbly friendly staff like Mr. Zahir who arranged the safari, gave us adjoining rooms and advised on our go to places as well.

Rooms we stayed in were humongous (super deluxe) and food pretty decent

Once again zahir. You rock.

Beautiful palace , wonderfully maintained . Al little inside the village so is very peaceful The palace dining area is the most beautiful one done with painting all over . Also the jail bar is amazing- never seen anything ever before. Each room is done differently . Even though it’s COVID times the staff maintain full precaution and cleanliness. Mr Jahir the manager takes personal interest of all guests needs . This was our 1st trip in COVID times but totally worth it .

Fabulous building!! Magnificent rooms with huge bathrooms and lounge areas in each. Lovely grounds and swimming pool. Pure luxury!! So why not 5 star. Basically the food let it down. The setting for the evening buffet was wonderful. The buffet however was luke warm, with not a lot of choice. Breakfast was disappointing. Very little fresh fruit and only one choice of cereal. Not sure whether or not they were cutting back with the Coronovirus about to take off in India and we were the last group to visit.

The hotel was set in the centre of a busy little village, which was worth exploring.

Unchi dukaan fika pakwaan. Is right saying for Alsisar Mahal … because Food is worst ever … property is big …they don’t know how to cook food. Restaurant is big n hot … ac don’t work there at all.. only rooms r big n good .. but to go to place like alsisar after travelling deserted roads one expects good warm welcome but after spending so much money for the day it was all worth less … totally bad experience n waste of money n time …

During our recent tour of Rajasthan, we stayed at the Alsisar Mahal and were overjoyed by the whole experience of a memorable stay. The Mahal transports you back to an era right out of history textbooks. The rural setting and a majestic palace with a backdrop of sandy plains, the venue for an eclectic musical extravaganza. The rooms are, indeed, "palatial" and the highlight is the uninterrupted sunset and sunrise views. Very few places offer a clear view of both, and Alsisar Mahal is one of those.

Food is amazing and to the taste of a varied group of clientele. Badal Mahal and high tea at the Badal Mahal are mentionworthy.

Excellent stay....Went to the property for two nights with family. The place is awesome. Never expected such a property in a small village. Well kept heritage property. Staff is excellent with great hygiene being maintained. Mr Zaheer at the front desk is very helpful and Mr Surinder in F and B department was very nice. The highlight was the rajasthani food. They even prepared Dal Bati for us which was not in the menu. Breakfast also was great. All in all a recommended stay for a short break in these Covid times where one has to remain far away from crowd's.

We were at the property during autumn but the way we were looked after whilst there, would leave me to believe you and your family will have a memorable stay at the property, during the New Years celebrations. Some of our party dressed casually whilst others more formal as far as I am aware there is no dress code. Enjoy your celebrations in wonderful relaxing surroundings.

Hi! Since we drove from Delhi to Alsisar I don't know about the train route. We walked around the village and discovered Indra Vilas a old haveli converted to hotel, it's a good option for meals. We drove to Rani Sati Mandir in Jhunjhunu, visited the Shekhawati haveli in Nawalgarh and went to Mandwa village.
