The facts: Tulum is an eco friendly location (this is not Cancun and hopefully will never be) Hotels have to generate their own Power No hotels at Tulum have Air Conditioning Most guests writing happy reviews are directly related to staying at an ocean front cabin Most guests writing unhappy reviews stayed at the back their hotel (either they had...

After a 20 hour trip and 7 hours of jetlag this was the perfect place to get used to Mexico with our kids aged 11, 9 and 1 years old. The magnolia room along the beach was fantastic. Staff is very friendly and the food is great. Close to here there are many other nice restaurants like Hardwood and Zebra....

Where do I start! From the minute we arrived we knew it was going to be perfect. I traveled to Tulum for the second time with my girlfriend. Last time we stayed at Zamas hotel, which was lovely but this time, we wanted to stay a bit further down the beach road. From the moment we arrived at Casa Violeta,...

Love hearing the sound of the waves all day long. The restaurant has wonderful food and drinks. My favorite cocktail is the Violeta mojito. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Would return there in a heartbeat!

Casa Violeta rooms are minimal, but that's part of its charm. It's peaceful, serene, has a beautiful yoga studio and a fantastic restaraunt. The staff are kind and have an easy going attitude that's makes you feel immediately relaxed. I wouldn't stay in a room close to the road, as its loud. I could also hear the generator, but it...

The charm of Casa Violetta is its primitive nature. Our room was close to the generator, but I was awakened by the birds, which was lovely! I would get up and spend early morning moments by the water. Just magical quiet moments...the staff Is the nicest I've encountered. Such a peaceful place and positive energy. And of course goegeous water...I...

We really loved the character of Casa Violeta, Great location on the beach and easy walking distance either down the road or beach to other establishments. The grounds are magical at night all lit up by the tiki torches. Really nice restaurant both day and night (plus a very adequate continental breakfast included with delicious guava jam) and we had...

We stayed in this paradise summer of 2012 in the Magnolia suite. What a treat. View right out to the Caribbean Ocean. The room was very tighty and clean and naturally cool due to the short distance to the water front. The service was very friendly and personal. Especially the hostress Violetta (not the owner) was a true jewel and...
