We are very familiar with Tulum ; we go there since 10 years. We never reserved in advance, there are so good opportunities, we like adventures ! We had the privilege to stay at Posada Lamar, It is located on the biggest beach, 10 km of white sand. They do serve for each private bungallow (there are 8 of them)...

Such a special location! Impecable, warming, welcoming and efficient staff. Really beautifull, natural cabannas made on recylcled materials with pretty good taste. Great habit of cutting electricity form midnight on. Lighting in the rooms to be improved. The rest, simply perfect. Special thanking mention to Adriana on the reception. Somewhere to recommend....or maybe to keep in secret!

Everything was great, the place, the service, the location. The only thing that really bothered me was this guy at the front desk (evening shift), that i caught drinking alcohol, Everything was great, but I need to mention this for the hotel to take some action, and I don't want to blame the whole place for 1 persons mistake. Besides...

"don't worry, be hippy" was our greeting. a piece of paradise where sound of ocean waves wipes everything clean. not for those dependent upon electricity. only suggestion for improvement is a little more generosity/variety to breakfast, given the price. beautiful people.

We stayed 2 nights in mid March. The room was nice etc. It was peaceful and breezy. We had planned to treat ourselves a bit after staying at the much cheaper coco tulum nearby. Basically it was what we were looking for. But the little things really let it down and we left feeling like we should have gone back...

My wife, my 7 yo daughter, and I stayed at Posada Lamar (in Agata- closest to the road, but still quiet) in late Feb, 2012, and we loved it. The bungalows are comfortable and have a lot of character, the property is loaded with countless flowering plants & trees, the breakfasts are fantastic (yogurt w/granola, fresh fruit, toast, fresh oj,...

Our trip was very last minute, but Posada Lamar was everything we could ask for. Because it was so last minute we had one double and one king bed, which was not ideal but that was our fault for leaving it so late. The service was very sweet, very friendly staff, full of helpful advice and where to go to...

We had a Fabulous time at Posada Lamar, I researched all the Hotels along the beach and Prices. Posada had the closest bungalos to the ocean. Rubi and Zfiro are 50 feet from the sea. No other hotel had anything as close. There are no hotels on either side of this property. Everyone that works there are very helpful and...
