5 pesos for a cup of water. 20 pesos to leave your bag in a corner. Giant rip off for a crappy location. Look elsewhere and support hostels who do honest business.

We've been on the road since leaving RT, and everywhere we've staying since has been miles better. The cleaning apparently happens only once a week, crappy undercooked breakfast, dirty bathrooms, no housekeeping (unless you ask for it) and not so pleasant staff. We payed 340 pesos pr. night in the dorm and we're now paying 225 just up the street...

I didn't love my stay at Rancho Tranquilo. The hut I got was cramped, the door did not close properly, the ceiling fan had clumps of dust like it hadn't been cleaned in months, the bed sheets were faded and mismatched patterns (solid, plaid and tiny flowers) instead of the standard white ones, the mosquito net looked like it had...

The garden was beautiful, the cabanas were nice, there were hammocks on some of the porches and common areas if you needed to relax. There was complimentary breakfast and a kitchen that you were free to use. Not only were the staff very friendly, but there were so many common areas that we got to meet and make friends with...

We liked this spot. The rooms are very basic. But who spends time in the room when you're in a city with one of the most beautiful beaches in the world? The staff was amazing. The guy who works during the week really helped us out. It's about a 20 min bike ride and you can rent bikes at this...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights in one of the economy cabanas. It was very basic with a bed and room for two bags, but not much else. The grounds are very well kept with lush gardens and ample room to spread out in the common area. Free pancakes and coffee in the morning, as well...

My fiance and I arrived late at night in Tulum, and since we were both carrying 40 pound backpacks, we were anxious to find a hostel. We had written down a name and directions to a different hostel, where we stayed our first night- we payed $22 total to sleep in a huge dorm room, the night guard was asleep...

It's a nice place to stay for a night or two, or if you plan to rent an air con room. There is access to a big kitchen, inexpensive cramped little bungalows, a very nice garden. But if you search around Tulum, there are much better deals in town & the beach is a nicer place to stay. I rented...

Stayed here for four nights in October and we loved it! The garden is beautiful and the cabanas are basic and a couple of torn mossie nets, but fun. We stayed in the private room for one night when I got sick and that was lovely- ensuite bathroom, TV, fridge! Its an outdoorsy sort of place- all the rooms and...

We stayed there 1 night with some friends Staff is kind, really cool. LOCATION In the center of Tulum, maybe 4-5km from the beach. It's 5min walk for the Bus Station. There are few cheap and good tacos stands around and a supermarket in front. ROOMS The rooms are inside a nice big garden where it's good to have a...
