We used Tripadvisor to research accommodations for our 3 day visit to Tulum. Contacted several places at the beach hotel strip and in town, and once we had all the info booked Posada Luna del Sur. We are thrilled we did! The hotel is a wonderful little gem in town, and staying here is an experience unlike any we've had.... More

Call us adventurous but we (my lovely Girlfriend and I) turned up on Posada's door step asking for rooms on a balmy May Evening... Janet greeted us and looked a little worried for us as she only had one room left which she wasn't overly happy about, she graciously took us to this room and let us make our minds... More

We recently returned from our second stay at this fantastic hotel. It is definitely our home away from home. Jack and Janet will take you in and make you feel as though you are family and make your stay a great experience. They are warm and helpful and fantastic hosts. The hotel is beautifully decorated and immaculate and the "towel... More

Luna del Sur is an excellent value for an economy lodging choice in the Pueblo. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The air conditioning and ceiling fan kept the room very cool. The proprietress made efforts to be helpful and accomodating even though we seemed to have arrived at an inconvenient time for her. We completely disagreed on her restaurant... More

Hi Shtoonk, Many thanks for your critique and for sharing your comments. Indeed, we offer "free continental breakfast", which is delivered to our family of guests precisely as described in our website. However, careful reading of our website might have helped to reach the (obvious) conclusion that breakfast is offered during the time periods encompassed by high season and holidays.... More

Wonderful place to stay! Clean and quiet with the most gracious of hosts. Close enough to the Pueblo to walk but without of the noise of the town. Just far enough from the beach to avoid the party crowd, and yet only a few minutes away. Extremely secure facility and beautifully maintained grounds make this the perfect destination spot. Jack... This was our second trip within the last year to this hotel. The beaches of Tulum, especially El Paraiso, about seven minutes by car from this hotel, are some of the most beautiful beaches I have been to. The green blue water, baby powder sand and warm temperatures make this such a special place to go to. And it is... More

I had done a LOT of research prior to booking my vacation to Tulum and I had spent a LOT of hours on TripAdvisor trying to make sense of other people's reviews. When I stumbled upon Posada Luna del Sur's page, I was skeptical that it was really as good as people write about. Our first step into the hotel... More

My husband and I were guests at this hotel May 3 - 10. It was beyond all our expectations. The owners are wonderful people who really want to make their guests happy. They gave us lots of information so that we could make some informed choices about places to eat, go to the beach, etc. The hotel was spotless, the... More

This was our first trip to Mexico and we were a little apprehensive from all our reading on Trip Advisor. Our stay at the Posada Luna del Sur was the starting point of our trip and it set the tone for our whole trip… relax, enjoy, have fun and relax some more. The owners, Jack and Janet, were beyond gracious... More

Nice rooms. The refrigerator was a big help. A large purified water container (20 liters ?) was provided that was a big help too. The owners spent a good amount of personal time recommending places to visit and eat. Their personal attention exceeded that of the other hotel owners we encountered during our two weeks in the Yucatán. There's plenty... More
