Our stay at Posada was perfect. We are independent minded travelers who only stay at small, family-owned hotels with lots of charm or character. Posada was right up our alley. Sarah and family are relatively new owners, but have carried on the Posada legacy. We highly recommend traveling to Tulum and staying at Posada. Be sure and get local restaurant...

Our stay at PLS was what we expected and more. Our room was airy, clean and peaceful. The staff was a wealth of information when it came to restaurants, cenotes and other non-touristy tips. We found this hotel to be a good Price-Value inn and highly recommend it to any one looking to spend a few relaxing days in this...

We traveled to Tulum for a beach vacation from NYC, and stayed at Posada Luna Del Sur upon all of the wonderful tripadvisor reviews. The hotel exceeded the high expectations set by others on the site; when we arrived Sarah volunteered to give us an overview of things to do, where to eat, and what beaches to visit based on...

Posada Luna Del Sur certainly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem. Marty and Sarah are absolutely brilliant hosts and go out of there way to be helpful. On arrival Marty spent about 20 minutes going through recommendations of places to see, restaurants to try, the best spots on the beach etc. This information was invaluable and by...

Just returned from 7 nights in Tulum at Posada Luna del Sur in Tulum. Sarah, Marty and Gareth made us feel at home straightaway and provided us with valuable tips and assistance from day one. We used to look forward to returning after each adventure to view the artistic talents of Jesus (incredible 'tower' structures)!! Our room was lovely -...

Theresa and I stayed at Posada Luna del Sur in the first week of September 2009. We were originally staying on the beach but it was much too hot for us at night to sleep with no real open windows and no electricity after 11pm to run a fan. Theresa did some research online and contacted the Canadian expats that...

My wife and I went here for our anniversary and loved the town and the hotel. We were surprised to find that Jack and Janet sold the hotel shortly before our stay, but we were happy to find the same friendly, family type atmosphere and welcome from the new owners. They are very friendly and willing to help with advice...

This is a lovely spot at the end of Tulum. Marty, Sarah and Gareth were attentive, knowledgeable and kind. If you're looking for a spot to access culture, snorkeling, ruins hopping and animal sightings, this is the place to springboard from. The rooms are neat and clean. While it is not a resort (a major plus for my partner and...
