We stayed three nights here at the start of December, and would thoroughly recommend it. Our double room (number 7) was spacious and clean, with a nice en suite with hot water and towels and toiletries. Breakfast was included and was a large portion of fruit salad (pineapple, watermelon & banana), tea or coffee and toast with Jam and butter....

After spending all afternoon trying to find our original hotel which didn't actually exist! We managed to stumble upon el punto! The new owners were extremely welcoming and gave us a really good deal at the last minute. Hot showers, very generous breakfast and free bikes and wifi were all bonuses! We also tried some empanadas on Frederico's recommendation and...

El Punto Hostal is located between the City of Tulum and the beach. It is just in front of a huge supermarket, which makes it very convenient. They have free bikes, which is the perfect way to move around Tulum. We had a private room with A/C. We paid something around 800 pesos per night. Breakfast (juice, tea, fruit, and...

What makes this hostel good and unique is the free rental bike option, which saves you lot of money. It allows you get everywhere you need easily and for free, from the ruins, cenotes and city center. In addition, the staff is nice, specially Julio in the reception. But the main problem of this hostel is the mosquitos. They got...

We originally booked to stay here for 6 nights and lost track of days without realizing and ended up staying 7. The staff were great about this and made no fuss about us staying an extra night without advising them. The room had a huge bed and everything we needed for our time in Tulum. The free bike rentals were...

I don't feel like recommending this place for several reasons. Our room was number 0. It was quite large but dark and the furniture was so old and the tab and shower full of limestone... I didn't feel quite comfortable in it... The room was a sort of bungalow in a little garden, and once I found quite a big...

A major advantage of staying in this hostel is the free bike rental that they provide. The best way to get around Tulum is on bikes and you save yourself a decent amount by not having to rent one. The staff are really nice and happy to help you. If you are just after a chilled time seeing the sights...
