I've stayed at many hostels around the world and this hostel was a gem. It reminded me of my long-term stay in Bryon Bay, Australia at the Arts Factory. This hostel attracts like minded travelers/community, has a very chill vibe and wonderful staff. The botanical garden in the middle creates a lovely ambiance as well the cute decor around the...

I am a digital nomad, and so when I find a place where I can rest and recharge my batteries, I take the opportunity. I was only going to stay at Frida's for one week, but as soon as I walked into the blissfully serene garden I knew I would stay longer. I am leaving tomorrow after a stay of...

I had a private suite here for 9 nights and enjoyed it for the most part--I enjoyed the separate living room with kitchen and balcony, and A/C. I can think of only 2 downsides. One was that that it was noisy at night due to the windows in my bedroom not closing. Given that my room was right on the...

Hi Nick, Thank you very much for your comments, we appreciate you staying with us and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the windows, there is nothing wrong with them, you just needed to push the wooden tab and turn it to close them. I'm sorry that this created a bad experience for you because of the...

We happened upon Jardin de Frida and stayed here one night. It's a little out of town but not far. It's beautiful with lovely little details and a friendly staff. We felt like we got a lot of space and comfort for our money. We would definitely stay again!

We stayed in the double room - had a lovely kitchen space with free refillable water and big bathroom. The staff were very friendly and suggested plenty of local areas to visit. Only minus point would be that the location isn't as central as others (10 min walk into centre with not great lighting).

Absolutely loved this hostel. It is a tranquil sanctuary - lovely garden to relax in. Very chilled. As it is in Tulum town it is located on a busy road, which is the only downside, however the location is convenient to visit local sites and for restaurants etc. The hostel is decorated beautifully. Breakfast is yummy and healthy. I like...

I didn't like Tulum. But I really liked this hostel. The main highway from Cancun to who knows where runs right through Tulum and this hostel is located right next to the highway and the far end of town. There's nothing calming or enticing about the area, but once you walk into the reception it's like you're transported to a...

If you travel and frequent hostels, this'll be one of the best ones you've ever stayed in. Staying here was beautiful, magical and everything you've dreamt of for a stay in Mexico. The front desk is incredibly helpful, kind and patient. Two of my girlfriends and I stayed in two different private rooms and had such a wonderful time. We...

I visited here as a solo traveller. Great atmosphere, with very friendly staff. Met some cool people, loved it so much I prolonged my stay in Tulum. Very quiet, chilled hostel. Not a party hostel. Great powerful shower and communal kitchen, Lots of lovely meals shared. Includes a really good breakfast - great if you are on a budget -...

El Jardín de Frida is your home in Tulum, we're an Eco-Cultural Poshtel, full of magic, culture and art built around a beautiful botanical garden. The project is inspired not only in Frida Kahlo's amazing life, but also in Mexico's great culture, art and traditions, offering all that in your stay. We are located in Tulum's residential area, on the main avenue, 5 minutes away from downtown and the bus station. We cater to guests looking for a quiet and comfortable place to relax, surrounded by a beautiful lush tropical garden. Our garden is programed to help you heal and release any energy you no longer wish to carry with you. You will be surrounded by the beauty of nature... The singing of the birds in the morning will wake you up and the chirping of the crickets at night will accompany you in your dreams. In our beautiful botanical garden you will find different species of local trees and plants, like the sacred Mayan tree or the chicle (bubble gum) tree, amongst others. Here you can learn about our local flora and their uses. We also have a hammock site where you can lay down below bamboo trees, a great place to arrive and chill after a day of exploring the area. We are concerned not only in the quality of service but also in developing activities that benefit the planet. We offer you a good price, an excellent service and an unforgettable stay full of magic, nature and Mexican culture. Here you SLEEP, LEARN and HEAL. Welcome HOME! ... more   less
