My husband and I stayed here right around Christmas time, and enjoyed our stay. Positives: SUPER helpful host, who gave us wonderful tips about all the best snorkeling spots, restaurants, and beaches. This was invaluable advice and we didn't receive anything like it for the entire rest of our trip, at other hotels. Also, the garden was beautiful. I spent...

We had 6 nights here and mostly enjoyed our stay. We found the location easily and upon arrival the staff (& dogs) were very friendly with lots of local information, the accomodation is supplied with free tea, coffee, cookies and bananas (Bananas on some days) which was a very welcome addition. After long day I enjoyed sitting out in the...

The good news first: the hosts were really nice, provided useful tips for our stay and were friendly all the time. Also the garden is cosy, with comfortable couches to hang out. Cleanliness was also not a problem and the room had a contemporary touch (although for my taste it felt rather "cold" through the tiled floor and concrete walls)...

The Secret Garden Hotel was our favourite hostel/hotel of our back-packing trip in Mexico. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, and made a lovely break from a mad week in Playa del Carmen! Each room is beautifully presented and the hosts were so friendly, and always willing to sit down, have a chat and fill us in on where to...

Our stay at the Secret Garden Tulum was most memorable. We would like to thank the hosts, Joshua and Maura, for all their tips and recommendations -- your hospitality made our stay worthwhile! Location: very convenient because of its proximity to the main strip and bus station. All the restaurants are no more than a 10 minute walk away. It...

After 4 weeks of hostels we wanted our last 4 nights to be something special and whilst I liked this place I didnt love it. The garden is quiet and relaxing but look out for the bird droppings. Yes there is hotwater, nescafe, bananas and occasional packaged cookies but that hardly counts as special given the cost. Rooms were clean...

Stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend as a bit of a break from the hostels, and it was a great choice. We only had the small room but it was fine - enough space to feel comfortable and there's always the beautiful garden if you need more room to hangout. Maura was really friendly and helpful, and gave...

The hostel is really close to the city center. We loved the atmosphare, the silence and the room. The staff and Joshua (the owner) were really friendly and helpful. We were actually only wanted to there for one night, but we felt so much in love with that place that we stayed for three nights. What else to say? Perfect...

I really enjoyed my stay at the Secret Garden - the staff were really helpful, the location was great (in town just a short walk from the bus station and the main restaurant strip) and the place itself is really lovely - the courtyard garden is very nice indeed! Thoroughly recommended.

Thank Ben M
