This is very quiet, peaceful oasis that is only steps to everything the town of Tulum has to offer. No car needed here. The rooms are spotless. The service is exceptional. The ambience is just fantastic too - garden like courtyard with large trees, comfy couches and hammocks with soft music and lit candles at night - just wonderfully serene....

Charming hotel whose rooms surround a jungle of a garden. Affordable, clean, and in the heart of Tulum Pueblo, The Secret Garden is a great place to stay. http://www.raisondetrenyc.com/2012/01/tulum-mexico.html

My husband and I absolutely ADORE this establishment and the staff (Josh and Maura). You can find a full review of Tulum here: http://www.theyoufinder.com/home/2012/01/06/tulum-through-the-lens-of-tulum/ In short they are extremely helpful, the rooms are always spotless, and the garden is a great place to read, drink beers, and just forget about any worries you may have come with. Stay here if...

The room was comfortable and quite reasonably priced for Tulum, Our daughter is a teenager and stayed in the loft bed upstairs. We did not mind the curtain separating the main room from the bathroom, but if I were traveling with...

We stayed in a room with private bath and air con. Joshua our host was very helpful and had some great recommendations of places to eat and how to get around Tulum. We loved the garden/courtyard and liked that the location was a few blocks off the main road.

hosts joshua and Maura are truely examples of doing a lot with a modest start. genually good people. rooms are modest but well kept as is the property itself. really decent place that's an easy/safe walk to downtown. if you're hoping for quiet, probably the best choice in town as tulum is growing. common/garden area was a great spot to...
