We booked Azucar via Booking.com for the first night of our stay in Tulum. We arrived at 6pm exhausted from our 3:30am wake up call, 5 hours of flying and 2 hours of driving. We were greeted by Mario who spoke no English (which is understandable, but somewhat uncommon in Tulum), and he showed us to a low-ceilinged, unimpressive room...

This hotel is small (just few stilts) and you have no brekfast included, but I was in luna melera and it is just on the ocean: you wake up with the sunrise and fall asleep with the sound of the ocean. It is a spartan, but you're really in touch with a wonderful nature. You can close your room from...

We stayed 4 nights on the beach side which was lovely and we agree to the positive opinions said before. We prolonged our stay for three more nights and moved to the bungalow in the back (garden view). DO NOT DO THIS FOR THIS MONEY. We had the same experience like others before: toilet flush not working, damp room, just...

We stayed one night on the lunamielera cabin, this is not a 5 star resort if that's what you looking for, very rustic but clean steps from the beach it is a small property and nice staff very helpful, perfect for a couple just to relax and enjoy, hope to come back soon.

In very glad I picked this. The lunamielera cabin is the closet to the beach I have found, just a few steps from the beach. Private, has a feel of seclusion as it is its own building. Nothing to the left, other cabins just far enough away on the right. It's september, lots of ocean breaze and airflow thoughout the...

Azucar is a simple and relaxing experience in paradise. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean every night, and our room was clean and spacious for two. Contrary to other options in Tulum, we had electricity day and night. We did notice the back door didn't lock the first night we arrived; it was fixed immediately and the...

This hotel was great. We stayed in the Selvamar cabana, which is very secluded and private, but only steps from the beach. The cabana is so cute, with a beautiful room and nice hammock outside. I went with my boyfriend and we loved it here. (If you are going with more than one other person, stay in one of the...

We stayed in the Selvamar hut (the one at the back, furthest from the beach) and unfortunately, I think the few negatives of our experience outweighed the positives!...a different hut however, may have changed our opinion... Negatives: Toilet stopped working on numerous occasions so we had to manually fill it with water from the tap, and the small toilet saloon-style...

I would love to give this place 5 stars because it was truly an awesome vacation experience, but we did have a few issues that if corrected would make this in the top 10 places I've stayed. This was our second stay here and although the first visit was only one night a few years ago we decided to stay...
