We were excited to go to Mexico, a first for both of us. My husband wanted to fish, primarily, so we decided upon Arena Blue for its convenience to the national park. It was somewhere I would be happy to be on my own through...More

Thank you for your feedback, we are glad to have the opportunity to chat with you.
ArenaBlue is situated right on the beach, in a rural area where there are not the common services and facilities we are used to in bigger cities.
We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay in Tulum. The hotel is boutique, set in a quiet part of Tulum and on the beach. Our room (room 101) overlooked the beach, we could hear then lapping of the waves all night long. Lunches...More

This is a small hotel with very simple rooms . The rooms are spacious and very clean. I regret that we changed to another hotel nearby which is more expensive and much less comfortable. The only thing that lets them down is the breakfast. It...More

There seems to be some confusing answers that aren't quite accurate. From Arena Blue to downtown Tulum it is in fact 9.9 kilometres (let's round that to 10km). Assuming an average person walks about 5 to 6 km/h - which they do - that's pushing close to a 2 hour walk, NOT 35 minutes or so. That also translates into about a 40 minute bike ride (slowed down a bit by traffic and speed bumps), and about a fifteen minute car ride, assuming an average of 40km/h can be realised...which on a busy day on the stretch of road in front of the resorts could be hard. Again, this is using actual measured distance from Arene Blue to downtown Tulum. It's easy to check by going on Google Maps.

Beach is definitely swimmable. When we stayed at Arenablue the seaweed wasn't bad and we got in the water often. Also they did have someone raking the beach daily so it was always nice. I have been to Tulum other times ( not at Arenablue) and the seaweed was coming in in droves so it was not comfortable getting in the water. If you are looking for a quiet hotel on a great strip of beach, Arenablue is the place. Have Fun!
