The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is great - just a couple of minutes walk from the bus station and ferry terminal, as well as all the restaurants in town. The real bonus for me was the quietness - with my windows closed, I heard absolutely nothing...

We stay on February 24th to 26th, 2017. Clean and big rooms (and beds). Very friendly staff to accommodate to all our needs. Close to the 5th Avenue and all mayor restaurants and to the ferries. Very cheap for the type of hotel. Very secure. We will stay again if we are in the area. Book with hotel, directly. Call...

My husband and I stayed at this pretty little Mexican hotel for three nights this February. I had asked for a first floor, quiet room with a king bed & that is exactly what we got. The hotel lobby has a palapa roof with stone accent walls, stairway to 2nd floor, small fish & turtle pond, free purified water and...

Luna Sol is lovely, quiet hotel, very near to busy fun 5th Ave and even short walk to the Cozumel ferry. We stayed here for a week 2 yrs ago and enjoyed a lot. Room is large with big bathroom and nice balcony overlooking pool area. My only complaint this stay (just one night) was the hot water, typical mexico...

If not for the staff I would have dropped the rating to 2 but this hotel has a good location, near the beach, 5th avenue, the ferry, great street for pharmacy, grocery store and a good italian restaurant which I got in once in a week...the room was ok, lots of mosquitos flying around the room, bed was hard...needs to...

The staff is absolutely the very best and could not be more accommodating. They get five out of five stars. The hotel itself is nice, clean, and comfortable. I did have to dock them one star because of a nearby night club that plays loud music all night. This is no fault of the Hotels, but it is part of...

Very quiet, clean and comfortable room on the ground floor with private terrace leading to the garden and swimming pool area. The hotel is tucked away on the side street but within easy walking distance to Playa del Carmen's 5th Avenue shops and restaurants. Management and staff are bilingual and extremely courteous and helpful. This is the 2nd time I've...

The people at the front desk were very helpful. That being said. The air conditioner never really worked, the room was OK because there was a fan. The bed a quite firm and the pillows were not comfortable. The pool area was very tropical but the pool water was cool. Not in the best part of Playa Del Carmen but...

I must admit: I am biased. I have been staying at hotel LunaSol for years, so I really love the place. Still: I find it wonderful. The rooms are simple, clean and sweet - some of them opening to the pool area with little tables to sit and enjoy. The entry area is open and lovely - right on the...

“stay away from rooms near the lobby...too noisy during the night and early morning”

“I like both the pool side rooms as well as the others. If there are many people using the kitchen by the pool (which happens every now and then), the "off rooms" can be quieter. My only complaint is that smoking is allowed outside. For those of us bothered by cigaret smoke, it makes sitting "out" less enjoyable. Still: this is Mexico and not another country. ”

“1. Playa Del Carmen has a Walmart that rivals most Walmart's within the United States. It is within walking distance to the hotel. I highly suggest utilizing it. Buy bottled water and groceries from there. The meats there are of the highest quality in the area. 2. Don't drink the water in Mexico. Don't drink drinks mixed with ice or blended ice from bars in Mexico. Not even if they tell you if the ice is made from filtered water. You will regret it. 3. The food in Mexico is very salty. 4. I highly suggest visiting Tulum and Coba. You can purchase this as a single excursion at the hotel. 5. Exchange your currency in Mexico because they don't charge you for it. There are multiple exchanges within Playa Del Carmen, all within walking distance. There is one within 2 blocks of the hotel. 6. Have tons of fun. Playa Del Carmen is a great place and I hope to be back soon.”
