Worst place I have ever stayed in 38 years.. the only good thing I can say about the place is the rooms are clean.. let me start with the crap show that we dealt with.. if you get a room with a pool be sure to know the view isnt what they tell you and the pool is freezing. Been here 7bdays and pool is still cold. No entertainment even though they say there is. Went to pool at 7pm and it was dead. Everything in the resort is super expensive for example bottle of water $5 us dollars. The train stops at 12am. So you cant get back to your room It is 20 mins to the actual town of playa del carma and there is NOTHING around the resort.. They dont tell you that they pick you up from airport for free but you have to pay $15 us dollars per person to get BACK to the airport. If you charge anything to your room make sure you check the charges. Someone told us to watch and sure enough we were charged for 2 things that were not us. ( they did take those charges off). AND the worse part about the trip was check out. We went to check out and our total was $49.50 us dollars. The young kid accidentally charged our card for $4,950.00 us dollars. Ok I get accidents happen. But at least take care of it. They said the cancelled the charge however the bank is saying they have not yet. So at this point our bank wont let us use our card anymore. So yay were on vacation and dont have our 1 credit card to use. AND WE THE MABAGER STILL MADE US PAY $49.50 IN PECOS. I think you already screwed us enough and yet you wont wave the $49.50 fee. Wow. I'll be sure to write this review to as many people as possible.…
The weather is amazing, the resort is good ......If information in English was provided or if staff speaks English it would certainly have been more nicer. We had to struggle to find out everything, they don't understand you or they give you a wrong info because they didn't understand your questions. The timeshare selling people are outrageously rude and push. I couldn't believe it. Everyone wanted/expected tip. If they touched your luggage they will want money. There is NO information about shows or events, when we asked almost every time the answer they gave us was wrong.
First time in Mexico and at this Resort. Our first night we met our Concierge Christopher Valencia in regards to our In room safe not working. On top of that we realized how big the resort was and wasn’t sure how to get to Salum for dinner. He shows us the App the resort had and the interactive map that showed either taking the Shuttle or walking to our destination. After we got back from dinner Christopher had maintenance come to our room promptly to address the safe situation that same night! Throughout the rest of the trip he provided insight and information on the excursions/tours we took and even neat fun facts we didn’t know about them which is super when you’re new to the country! If you stay here look for Christopher V. He’s an awesome Concierge!!!
We were concerned at first when we didn’t have immediate access to our rental car, but after one day the whole resort concept makes since and we had a wonderful time. All the Vidanta staff are so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to take care of everything you need. Our room had lots of space and the resort has thought of everything. Loved lounging at the pool and having staff take orders for towels, drinks and food. Loved the variety of restaurants. Loved the shows. We went to Hoya, markets, local beaches, Chicken Itza, Excardia, and several local restaurants. Rental car wasn’t a problem. Love to return if we get a chance. Thanks Vidanta!!
